Hey, at least you made the perfect scapegoat for them delaying the story.
They would invent something else anyway, they're not "delaying" the story, it's increasingly obvious that whatever happens in HIP 22460, it's only going to happen after update 13 and it should arrive in the first or second week of August.

It's a shame, Fdev doesn't even give a chance to have a CG against Salvation, as happened before in some cases. Then they still say that the players are the ones who guide the story, it may be, but in very few cases, and especially now that it's close to the end, they don't want us to change even 1%.
See, you say that... but on the times FD have let players do just that, it's resulted in many forum tears from players who asked for that ability, but found many others had other plans in store for the story.

That's a bit farfetched

People that can rack billions of credits in AX combat... they never die.
Sure, it's less pressure knowing you wont lose the bonds, but it wont make any difference

I'm not much of an Axi player (i can reliably kill Basilisks, but thats about it), but i still managed to get 1bn axi bonds in one week. Without deaths
It makes a big difference. A lot of players blow themselves up when they run out of ammo, because they've loaded premium and a rebuy will refill it without using any mats. Plus it's quicker to just die than manually travel to a station/megaship. Death becomes absolutely meaningless.

Interesting.
Never thought about refiling prems by rebuy - maybe because i dont use premium ammo, not in axi and not in general.

But it's an extremely valid point.

Well... i might be able to try Medusa's this way, but - again generally speaking, my problems with medusa stream from taking to much damage and not necessarily from dishing out too less damage

For me the trick to soloing medusas was to slow my firing rate, to let the ship's heat drop more between shots and not spike up over the point where the interceptor can target you. Medusa (and Hydra) will punish a lot harder as soon as you go over the threshold.

(This is mostly a chieftain issue, kraits stay colder thanks to their oversized distributor...)

Capital class AX High conflict zone pay more than mega ship Medium or other AX CZ...
You get 500K for just turning up and helping with the scout clearance in the High zone...
Its 300K for medium capital class
its 100K for mega ship and other AX CZ..
Bonus for completing the zone is only 5mill in Mega ship CZ... boo

But it's pity there's no dockable megaship nearby high intensity AX CZs. Then it's faster to jump to nearby system to your FC. We are spoiled to always have our FCs just there
where we need. And to die - it's also faster, as cmdr Ned explained! The Unbearable Lightness of Dying :)

Question: are the rewards stacking for this CG?

Usually reaching a higher tier entitles you to the rewards for all lower tiers. But it's not mentioned anywhere in the description, so it's unclear if landing 25% or higher will get you 3 gauss cannons (2 for 25% + 1 for 50%) or only 2.

Wow. That seems to me like an oversight Frontier should fix - at least to make players lose combat bonds if dying on a ship. Or making the premium ammo not get kept on death.

Long-term if there's profitable on-foot AX this of course won't make it fair. But if on-foot AX ends up paying better than ship AX then the unfairness won't be in the bonds being kept on death... but the content only being accessible to Odyssey players.

I don't think so. The current storyline is for Horizons players, and update 13 I think (guess?) is for Odyssey.

Horizons has had Elite dangerous Odyssey compatibility update with every version of EDO update release...
They even put EDOCU version numbers at the bottom of the start screen on PC and console... When they break the servers updating EDO they have to patch EDOCU to still work with EDOs bad servers...
New features are not being added but content for existing features are added... Thats how they still get Paid for paint jobs as there added at every EDOCU release for PC and console...

So how many scouts will I have to kill in two days to make it to top 25%? :ROFLMAO:

Let's not hate on this too much, folks, it's honestly really cool the way they are integrating a player initiative into the storyline. Personally, I find this to be a much more engaging way of showing participation then just having a secondary Community goal that is guaranteed to lose.

Doing it this way makes every player action feel like it matters, not just the ones directly related to community goals.
