IIRC, that was the first one given out for a Salvation event, then the tech broker ones had different stats "for balance" or something.

Some AX weapons also have practical uses outside of AX combat too. Shard cannons and plasma chargers in particular.
Not insisting on anything, this was my first experience of the CZs. I was hoping it would be challenging and exciting and instead it was frustrating and pointless and made me inclined to not try again. I'l give the federation CZ a try.
This is starting to grind my gears in the cap ship CZ, didn't get paid for 6 interceptors over 2 runs...
Think I may stick with the signal sources for now and "git gud" doing solo kills
Today's the first day I've felt jealous of Odyssey players. I picked up a couple of interceptor bonds at the Fed megaship, but didn't make it out alive after I was sabotaged by my washing machine 
I play in VR using VoiceAttack, in an open-plan living room and kitchen. It turns out that when my washing machine is in a noisy spin cycle, not only can VA not hear me, it can hear the washing machine, and also manages to interpret the noise as me issuing commands.
I'd just engaged a new wave of scouts when all of a sudden my guns stopped firing, I couldn't boost, and I was getting hammered. I had no idea what was going on until I spotted that VA had decided something my washing machine said sounded like "landing gear", which not only made me a slow-moving target, it switched me to the alternate flight controls, where my "pew pew" buttons are remapped to lateral thrust
By the time I'd figured that out and got the landing gear back up, I was a smoking wreck and I couldn't shake the two interceptors who'd suddenly decided to take an interest in me for long enough to jump out. Bye bye bonds

That single shard cannon was a reward for the first "Taurus Mining Ventures" CG. When the Proteus was discovered out near Barnard's Loop, both Taurus Mining and AEGIS launched competing CGs for the collection of guardian artifacts.
After the reward was given out AXI got on their soapbox and complained that it was too overpowered so when the shards eventually showed up at Salvation's tech brokers, their range was nerfed.
That took way to long compared to 3x Cyclops... even with Zero scouts (all dead a long long time ago) and the little helper fighters with their plasma repeaters hammering him... as well... boo...
Next time you might try ramming him, it can significantly increase your kill speed.

Made it to the top 25% after handing in the money from a Medusa bagged this morning with a couple of other Cmdrs.
Got 4 Cyclops in the previous CZ, but only got paid for 3 of them. Only got the money from about 3/5 Scouts popped. This glitch is irritating, doubly so when it costs CG contributions.
Was very annoyed with myself last night after racking up nearly 70 million from a few Cyclops and a couple of Basilisk kills plus the CZ stage payouts, but foolishly thought "I'll have a go at those Hydra" and didn't decide to Jump away until it was too late. FSD disabled, power plant disabled, hull melting away while trying desperately to reboot... No chance, hello rebuy screen.

With the Guardian Shard Cannon you almost always get the credits for the kill. Just fire a salvo when the hull is less than 5% with two class 2 or less than 10% with four class 2.

Last time we killed Hydra and I jumped back to my carrier to repair, and I pressed restock automatically, and my premium ammo gone! I forgot to die!
