There's also that even with multiple limpet controllers, harvesting the samples takes quite a long while. Filling up a carrier's hold with samples would take large amounts of people. I'd wager that doing it just for one carrier would require a concentrated push from a large squadron - and they would have one week to organise and execute it.
Yep. And there are large squadrons which could make a go at that, but of course they're mostly ones which have no reason to do so, while Colonia's resident squadrons
first have the challenge of getting a carrier out to Trifid in the first place.
Suicidewinder back to the bubble, buy an Anaconda, fit with cargo racks, limpets, etc. remote engineer up to G5 FSD and a few mid-range lightweightings, fly out via Trifid to swap the limpets for samples, on to Colonia ... maybe 200t a time for most of a full day's effort ... sell the Anaconda at Jaques and repeat. Also really doesn't work well.
