Delta Squadron

I no longer recommend this group.

Required to fill out a 27 question questionnaire to join, forum signup and TS registration etc, while there I complied with all written rules was active daily, and frequently spend 4+ hours online.

Very rarely winged with other players. Found squadron leadership to be lacking. While individual players were frequently available to Q&A, the motto of the wing is "Don't Die" and the answer to any $ problem is "Get a Python". Was exceptionally rare that the majority were not doing their own solo play. Never attended an entire group event as there was none. My recruiter did not follow up on my progress.

Dismissed without warning & explanation, upon asking, told that my views regarding the current difficulty being experienced by new players was "negative and argumentative". Rather than discuss or offer help I was dismissed. A wing that suffers from internal strive and is unsettled by conversation and handles it this way isn't in my view worth investing time in.

Not an outfit I'd partner with again.

A small extract from our internal operations regarding our recent operation where 27 CMDRs took part. To be involved sign up @ DeltaSquad.co.uk

"Upon the cessation of hostilities, the Delta Squad(DS) spec operatives were gathered for a short ceremony where they were handed their combat decorations for the Hellfire campaign. CMDR Mr-Marcus requested that he be allowed to attend the ceremony in his people’s traditional war gear to which DS command, as per the DS Cultural Regulation #4623, readily agreed upon. It apparently came as a surprise to some attending the ceremony that the traditional war gear of CMDR Mr-Marcus consisted of blue full-body war-paint and no clothes. His fellow CMDRs did not seem fazed by Mr-Marcus’ appearance, but the DS officer conducting the ceremony was slightly shocked. A slight problem rose as to where the CMDRs decoration should be attached, and though Mr-Marcus was kind enough to offer some suggestions, the officer deigned to merely hand the CMDR his medal and shake his hand."

CMDR         Star,

Your CMDR name contains a derogatory term which we looked past, but did not ignore. However, as a leader and co-founder of DeltaSquad, I received much feedback from several other members regarding your negative attitude and didn't want to make any rash decisions about removing you. However, your persistently negative attitude and demeanor was negatively affecting many others in the group. You were removed from the website but you were never banned from TeamSpeak. This was on purpose, so that you can still participate with us and after demonstrating a more mature mindset and reconciling any previous aggressions against other members, you would have been able to become reinstated as a member. However, after finding that you were unable to log into the website, you never even attempted to log back onto TeamSpeak, and began posting negative things on Facebook and here too now. It was unfortunate to lose a member, but the decision can still be reversed if you can be respectful and mindful of others when communicating. You seem to have a lot of predisposed ideas about how the game lacks content, yet you have only been playing a few weeks now, and seem to think that's a long time. You admitted that you haven't even participated in any Community Goals, and haven't encountered any griefers yet, but after just 3 weeks of playing, that is not surprising. This group is one of the most respectful and honorable groups to join, but we do not tolerate negativity or trolls. If you wish to re-join us, then feel free to come back on TeamSpeak and state your intentions since we never banned you from TeamSpeak.

Respectfully,

CMDR Magmanus

If this is your real view of them perhaps you should stay in solo.
no group is perfect, with the amount of things going on "leadership" may lack to some degree with any group because there is a lot to oversee or real life gets in the way of properly organizing events or assaults. let alone with us how spread out everyone is.. some of us dedicated to exploring, others to trading with the remainder as fighters.

We are always there for each other when we can be and we are always there to help someone in need even if they aren't affiliated.
On top of that anyone local always turns up to help with goals such as system take overs, KOS warrants, or trading in wings to make some extra coin.

I've been with delta for just shy of a year. in that time I have played only 3 weeks worth, and in that time when I've fought, traded, and explored beside any number of members its always been great fun and the team effort towards our goals have been awesome. I went all the way out to BP with one of our members and it was a great trip.

I given next to no sizable contributions towards any of our goals due to my lack of time to commit, yet I am still treated with respect and am still invited to activities regardless of my status. they are great in every way I could hope for in a crew like this. sure we have our smart asses in the group but what one doesn't?

The conversations on TS are epic at times and quiet at others along with the awesome music some of the members rock out.

if you were kicked from any one of our social services you can bet you were the cause so don't try to blame others for what happened...

o7 safe travels....

Greetings Magmanus,

Respectfully you have been misinformed, I have participated in 3 community goals so far. Might I also add, I have no idea who you are. Did we ever have a conversation while I was in "DS?"

So far regarding community goals. I've done the Gold running one a few weeks back while I was supporting the group my wing was supporting. I hauled just shy of 400 tons of gold. You may remember as this was CG that Delta didn't want to do because only 3 of the guys actually know anything about mining. At present. I am doing the Exploration CG for UTOPIA. Of which I'm already in the top 25%. I also have planned event with my wing. You know the one who didn't find me a "problem child". Also have been running trip to Barnards Loop later today. I have fitted my Conda for the trip. You know that Conda I bought for myself on my one month anniversary playing the game.

So I've been active with the game, and with the community. Just not with your "community".

My Delta Squadron recruiter never flew a single wing mission with me. Never discussed any work arounds to the numerous gameplay issues that came about with the update. The stellar advice while I was struggling was get gud and get a Python go to Sothis stack missions and level up. Interesting advice to drop the week the update dropped as everybody's credits were dropping like flies in the face of the cheating NPCs.

As I have already stated I was never asked to change topics, was never told I was causing a problem. These "reports" of negativity and attitude were never discussed with me, not once. I had no knowledge I was causing a problem. Had to ask to find out I was "BANNED" to ask the why I was banned. I found the way Delta handled the situation to be comical and immature and not honorable or what I'd call "to be respected".

I also find StevieG's persistent trolling of my posts here on the Frontier forums to be equally comical and immature. This is his game now. As he stated the forums are the "metagame" Oh yes, it has been brought to the attention of the moderators. I have learned that to be par for the course with you guys and I accept that. Accepted it and moved on.

Lets clear up something else. I don't have facebook. I never have had facebook. My guess that your accusation that I have posted negative things on facebook is due to some other guy you guys gave the rail to and who decided you were worth their time bad mouthing. LOL. Like I said I've been grinding my way into an Anaconda the last 30 days. Do you really think I'd take the time to setup a facebook account just to make an issue with a wing that never really did anything for me or with me to begin with and who decided I didn't fit in and banned me without even telling me LOL I mean let me check my ridiculous module here yep it's peaking!

Where is the logic in this accusation or the time benefit for me the not so struggling so much anymore newbie?

You say your group is the most honorable and respected groups in the game. I disagree. It is your supposition so let me ask you this. Is StevieG's trolling of my posts on the forum honorable or respectful? Since I have parted ways with you why would you say I have posted about you guys on facebook. LOL. We both know that is made up bologne. I don't believe I said the game lacks content. How would I have been equipped to judge that 2 weeks into playing. What I have said repeatedly is that the game is a collection of a series of disjointed systems which don't have much depth. What Frontier does really well they do really well, what they don't do really well, they don't. That is true of most companies. Evidently you guys decided that such statements were too much to handle on the precious eardrums and were so averse to the situation that not a one of you could be bothered with the courage to talk to me about it and ask me to either shape up or ship out. All well and good but since we have parted ways. Why the broadside and false accusations?

I am over things with you guys, really I'm over it. I moved on, you will note from the Teamspeak server logs and Website logs I haven't been back.

I'm curious why you guys aren't over it.

Lastly, I do not want to rejoin your wing. I do not want to hop on your teamspeak. I do not want to fly in your space, or do missions with you. I do not want to listen to you guys knock the Catholic church or bad mouth Americans. I also do not wish to be ignored by fellow pilots when struggling and I wish to fly with people who are also interested in doing stuff with their fellow pilot. That isn't Delta Squadron for me.

Glad to hear you are having success with Delta. I never blamed anybody for anything. The times I lost my ship were of course my fault. Always and every time. I never once put the blame for the loss of my ship on anybody else. The times I expressed frustration were in the period after the 1.6/2.1update and the 6-3 update where the fixed the Cheating NPC AI. All Players enmass were refunded their rebuys for lost ships during that time. I myself saw my assets go from 75 million to 95 million overnight. So during that time I lost 20 Million in Rebuy to cheating AI's and not just 2-3 ships, this was dozens of losses during that time.

Like I said before. The issue was not with Delta at all. Was with the way the game was playing. These accusations regarding facebook posts are complete trash. The idea that I was so rampantly negative that it was a big problem for the wing is hillarious to me. Nobody said anything about it to me. Even kindergarden kids get a timeout when they are causing trouble. LOL. Not in Delta they just ignore you and then go post bogus crap on the Frontier Forums instead of keeping it in PM. The whole "respected credentials" don't really hold up when you go attacking players for posting their view on how your wing handles new people. At one time I had recommend you guys. When you banned me that obviously had to change. Then you guys needed to quick make up facebook post bologne. Seriously? Honorable and respected. Sure. LOL.

This is the last post I'll be making in here so say whatever you guys want about me.

Yes you did speak to Mag and he gave you some great advice, we all did.

We was over it when we decided to remove your tags, you decided to modify your post into yet another rant that no one else agrees with, just like on teamspeak.

So if you are truly over us then goodbye, farewell, we'll see you in the void.

I honestly can't remember who Mag is. Mag I'm sorry. I remember Macho Libra, another guy, Space Republican and you StevieG.

Day you guys cut me and I actually knew that, is the day I culled you all from my friends list.

Anyway. Parting ways works for me. Good luck to you guys. ;) Try to stay out of my crosshairs in game.

Delta Squadron members play for fun. We have 20+ CMDRs coming on teamspeak every night to have fun.....

As a reminder to anyone wanting to join Delta Squadron we like to help new CMDRs but if you ignore everything we tell you, rant constantly, expect us to hold your hand and have daily progress meetings with you then we are not the Squad for you.

However if you want fun, if you are a fun person wanting to play this very cool game and might need abit of advice now and then, well maybe we are perfect for you :)

We create our own Lore. A snippet of more to come....

Ice crystals exploded and spun away silently into space. The landing gimble lurched and decended rattling into the docking bay. Upon it rested a Python cruiser, once painted with bold garish pirate colours, now simply a mess of scorched plating, crumpled and torn armor, great gouges in the hull, long forgotten.

The flight controller perched behind a high counter in the receiving area, squawking into her headset the same phrases for already the hundredth time today. The room was dark and unkempt and seemed to digest and assimilate all those who entered. The landing bay door screeched open revealing a man of venerable stature. He shambled with some effort towards the counter, carrying a small weathered black box in his thin weak hands. The flight controller gazed quickly at him and turned her attention back to her screen, as if one appraisal of this peculiar fellow was enough for all time.

He reached up and placed the box carefully on the counter and stood motionless, staring at this animated woman. His worn countenance betrayed a life of appreciable mental and physical strain, his hideous, inhuman yellow eyes empty now, clearly witness to scores of things stirring. He waited for this person to become unhindered enough, hands shaking pitifully, every moment was an eternity.

Eventually she fell silent. Making a show of remembering his naueating presence she plugged a cable into the box and regarded her screen again.
"Commander Shakuhachi," she droned. "Bounty vouchers?" she seemed quizzical. Her next breath was swallowed sharply and uncontrollably, she turned her full face, agape, to look on him again. "That's a lot of ..." Her sentence trailed off redundantly.

The decrepit man layed those yellow eyes on her, instilling a peverse fear, and said nothing for a long while.
"Yes ... I use docking computers." he uttered in a tone as if grateful if these words alone were ever to be his final ones.
"No problem!" she blurted, shaking her head jerkedly, hands held up. "Delta Squad offices are over there!" She gesticulated wildly as if to say please go away.
