I'm exactly in the same situation, but with 5 refinery hubs.

Are all your slots used? I still have one left, maybe that matters ... Or maybe the new and unknown rules require to have minimum 2 economies per body. Who knows? 🤔
The T1 ground civilian port will take up the third slot, I have 6 slots in total on that planet, so 3 free ones after that. I'll also build out more infrastructure on the other planets - one industry planet, for example, with a ground colony port, one agriculture planet, and one high-tech planet built along the same lines.

So, once again, your latest construction (farm) did not provide any influence, but did cause existing facilities (coriolis + refinery) to update. Do you have any more slots to spare there? To see if anything added will cause the farm to be counted too.

It kind of seems like the update to the economy is always one build behind for some systems? It's not perfect, but it'll do.

I've been updating Inara data for my old settlements and noticed an interesting thing. Some settlements are selling something, some have completely empty export market.
All settlements that have no exports have civilian port/outpost in vicinity that is selling goods of the settlement's economy.
All settlements that are selling themselves have no other market on/around that planet.
Could it be that settlement's exports are sucked in and sold by ports?
 
Just completed a Refinery Hub under my 100% Colony Coriolis, no change to influence/market yet. Looks like market influence is lagging behind by one build like I hypothesized earlier.

It’s currently looking that way for my refinery Coriolis too, it retains 1.35 refinery econ after I built the fourth hub which (theoretically) would have come online properly this Thursday, but the influence should’ve applied immediately nonetheless.

… this makes me question whether I should either hold fire on building a T3 planetary until this is fixed or build it first (but I wanted it down as a long-term investment to build onto here and there) then complete the tier 1 planetary if said T3 port were to not pick the economy up immediately, due to this.

Other question - has any digging been done into how you get a refinery contact? I’ve looked at a few colonized systems which seem to have one but not able to tell any defining factors from that superficial overview. (It might be useful as some sort of interim measure if you happened to build an asteroid base or something before getting a local refinery set up, in the absence of carrier hauling)

Not in my case. I have only one such settlement, a large bio one, with empty market. The other slot on the moon is empty, also nothing in the orbit yet.
Fnny thing, you can see that something is wrong even from the system map, from the "market information" button, the mini-list of items is missing.

Both my t1 planetary ports have the refinery contact, both have some refinery economy.
Also I have 2 medium Odyssey industrial settlements and a large one, and all three have the refinery contact as well.
The mining settlement doesn't have it.

So, I think it is either refinery port or industrial settlement to get the refinery contact.
 
Just out of curiosity, what was the reason for putting Agri and Refinery together?
Had 2 free orbital slots. Choice was space farm or extraction installation. Wanted to keep the 7-slot planet focused. But since all the Refinery lowers SoL, agri goes Hand in Hand with Refinery. While Extraction increases the Problem.

Industrial and High Tech consume Refinery and lower supply. So i went with Space Farm over mining installation over military installation.

My medium agri settlement finally broke through that damned 2 products only barrier and though it's only carrying 4 products now I'm still very happy about it. I also checked my EDDiscovery docking entry last April 4 and couldn't find any %Economy data - so it was definitely borked before FD fixed it this week.

Next step is to build a commercial station above the same icy planet (with biosignals) and watch what happens.

Is there a table of specific commodities produced and consumed by various economy types? The wiki gives a lot of vague generalities and is not as helpful as I would like.
This is the best list i know. It is accurate and i use it.
 
I have also seen some improvement in markets of settlements.
3 T2 Large Mining settlements now have 5 to 6 products for sale.
2 T1 Medium Agriculture settlements now have 3 to 5 products for sale.

I don't think there was a complete reroll of random selection.
I believe that the products that were for sale before are still there.

The number of random products for sale seems to be random.
Or maybe the variation in number of supplied products is due to filters, e.g. first random selection,
then some selected products are not available due to low calculated supply or due to being illegal.

None of the settlements are currently in range of Colony structures that could divert their supply.
 
Interesting stuff happened. Long story short: I finalized a second T3 ground port, and the amount of ships and modules in the first T3 ground port decreased.

Yesterday, before finalization: 240900 citizens, 91 system points. Port "Terminal Optimism": 22 ships, 739 modules, 100 commodities.
Yesterday, after finalization: 240900 citizens, 91 system points. Port "Terminal Optimism": 20 ships, 629 modules, 100 commodities.
Today, after the tick: 440900 citizens, still 91 system points. Port "Terminal Optimism": 20 ships, 629 modules, 100 commodities.

All stats have improved, only security decreased slightly. The economy of that second T3 port is still "colony", despite multiple installations and settlements that were build on and around that body before. Nevertheless, the amount of ships and modules within the first port decreased. The second T3 port "Fruit of Countless Toils", which is still not fully deployed, only offers 11 ships, 356 modules, and trades 41 commodities (sell side: a hydrogen biowastry).

Some theories:
  • Having additional 200k jobless colonists decreases some hidden stats, decreasing the amount of offered ships and modules?
  • Decreasing security has an impact?
  • Maybe all these "points" such as security, tech level, and development have to be seen in relation to the total number of citizens?

Just my two cents. Now I wait for the next Thargsday tick, but later today, three subsequent T1 ground ports and one military hub will open their pads... that will definitely mess with my observations.
 
Hello builders. I share my experience: I built a Coriolis + refinery, the market is empty, then I built a small farm - the market had goods from the refinery, but there were no goods from agriculture (economy 50-refinery, 50 colony). Then I installed a second refinery and the market from the refinery disappeared, but fruits and vegetables appeared. Then I installed another refinery (that is, the third refinery), now the market has goods from the refinery and from agriculture and supplies have increased. Now the economy: 25- agriculture, 75-refinery. And most importantly, the colony has disappeared. Patience and good luck to everyone in this beta.
