Hi there, I'm both new to this forum and to this game.
I want to firstly say that I appreciate that it is very unlikely that the topic of diagonal walls has not been brought up endlessly here on this forum. So I do hope that this post at least contributes to a movement of pressure put onto devs to add this into the game!
With that in mind.. What's the deal with no diagonal walls? :O
Planet Coaster has the most revolutionary and advanced build/design system for any game I've ever seen. I'm sure there's some ex-Sims players on here who were as impressed as I was by the possibility presented here. Taking the grid system to completely new levels, it's amazing to see some of the things that have been built by those skilled at the game, and to some extent, even the things I have built myself.
It is of course not perfect, I'm not sure why the game just feels a little unstable to me. I'm not overly fond of the camera controls as they are and feel they need tweaking (For example sometimes the camera moves too fast, sometimes too slow, especially when trying to do minute details in awkward spots, or traverse large distances). Some of the keys also seem unintuative as a complete begginer, but I guess you do get used to them. I also really long for a bulldoze button. This is the first Sim game that I've seen not featuring a nice, easy to access button. I appreciate the way buildings work joins them together (which also poses further bulldozing greivence when trying to delete certain elements en-mass while keeping the grander space).
With all that said, the game is otherwise very impressive. Time consuming, that's for sure.
