Did Engineering Just Become More Painful? My HGE hunting safari results, post patch...

Phew! Can confirm Jameson cobra still farmable. I'm there now. :D

You're a saint as far as I am concerned on this forum.

I really found distribution centers to be very frustrating, very rare drop, but kudos to anyone who could stick it out. Naturally it's either that or hanging around outside busy stations in a ship called canihazwakezplz or plzhiwakekthx from now on. Wonderful.

Yeah the play sucks but it was just a reasonably efficient way that was clear and mindless, and I didn't feel like sleuthing out something better. I didn't time it precisely, so jameson's + trade might be better for DWE. It certainly is for everything else.

if I bothered to kit out a dedicated tiny fast ship with long range or fast wake scanner it would be been more tolerable and I'm pretty sure the most efficient.

But I didn't feel like pre-grinding my grind so just used whatever was lying around.

I just try to keep my hangar smallish so less grind, and not care if I due due to slightly sub optimal engr.

Bolded sections got me lol'ing.

frontier approved gameplay. gone are the days of wasting your days flying around in a system waiting for HGE's, now you get to jump from system to system wasting your day.
also im pretty sure the amount of mats got nerfed too, i jumped in 2 HGE's and found only 3 units when in the past i would have expected more

Frontier: "We've realized that flying through a system in supercruise is nobody's idea of a good time. So we developed the FSS for explorers!"

Also Frontier: [spawns HGE's 12K or 35K ls out into deep space, or out by the B or C star, 330K ls out from the main star] "Go get 'em, boys! Muuuuuahahahahaha." :)

That is a relief! Otherwise I wouldn't have known how to proceed my personal narrative.

Stardate 3305.01.20 - having encountered some sort of alien feline while sitting in supercruise for 7 minutes doing nothing in order to limpet some garbage, I now have spacecat scratch fever and am compelled to drive in circles for 3 hours at an abandoned deep space station called Dav's Hope, picking up more yet more garbage.

Engineering, so good for "plot".

Maybe we need a new community goal: If we all buy enough paint jobs, they'll fix this.:D

I'd rather prefer to buy nothing and advice anyone to do the same. Online and income drop before the new paid season announce may tell them that they're doing something wrong.

Lazy incompetent company... That's all.

Yes, but playerbase likes their product, and has nothing against RNGeneering, more grind and generic gameplay.

We won't see any progress in game until any alternative product reaches playable status. Maybe, after that FDev will try to be creative and do something for players. Or not.

Well that's kind of the problem. They're sitting on their high horse and have no intention to get off it. Until some solid competition comes into play and the number of active ED players starts dwindling, then maybe they'll spring into action. I feel sorry for the players who really would like to have space legs and atmospheric landings. They can't even get this right. They pretty much shelved ice planets. At least I have no expectation to ever see those implemented. It took them quite some time to come up with the new Q4 content accompanied with lots of bugs and performance issues. That 100 man team right, lol... Yeah sounds impressive, but how many of those are actually involved in coding and QA? Then there's multi platforms to consider.. Yeah right, not going to happen. Space legs and atmospheric landings is out of scope for this company called Frontier.

Evochron games were developed by one man, and they're completely competitive with the E: D. Elite is nothing more than a business card for FDev and their image of the oldest game developer.

David Braben is a liar, and you can realize that if you watch his Kickstarter videos being made after Star Citizen announce. The Braben in these videos is an enthusiastic clone of the Original One, which is a CEO of FDev and has no sentiment towards Elite series.
