Something is absolutely going to happen. Server maintenance and patch updates. But it won't be anything we can "see." That's all I'm saying.

So the question still stands, why would Frontier recommend being in the system if there's nothing to see.

We could see 'nothing' in any other system just as well.

That doesn't sound likely. Surely we'd wake up in Skyrim.

My suspicion is that HIP WhateverItIs is going to permit locked tomorrow. Salvation's big splodey thing dinnae work, lad. New CG is repel super incursion level to remove permit lock and make system safe for care bears.

Or something. But none of us will "see" anything. Think back to Thargoid attacks on stations. They have never been "seen."

I think they've said this finale is going to be something never done in Elite before, so... who knows. I'm not setting my expectation bar very high, but I'm open to being surprised.

I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere, but the Proteus wave is still in deployment phase as of now with 2 more steps to go. If the finale is today, how does that work out? (assuming we go through 1 phase per day)

Edit: Ok so apparently things are happening faster in-game and deployment phase 2 is already completed. So I'm guessing the server downtime will be the charging phase and weapon ready will be after the server comes back online.
