There's a highly voted Update 13 issue on the tracker that hasn't been acknowledged yet. Can that please be looked at at some point? It's a big deal to me that I can't feed the Thargoids. 🥺
Am I on a "don't talk to this guy" list, or is it just something that cannot be answered atm? I keep getting ghosted by CM's lately and while I get they're busy I can't help but feel like I did something to upset 'em.

Hey, I'm a CM and I'm not ghosting you. I've personally not seen anything where you'd be on any kind of list to swerve you - we never want to do that to people anyway.
Just made a little joke on the comment I liked from you, that's all.

Thanks for the response, this actually lifted a huge boulder from my brain that's been on my mind recently. 😅 Also I didn't notice the joke comment, will have to scroll some more.

Edit: the previously quoted message is my own

I had an issue earlier that required me to restart in Horizons to get my ship back.

If my mind is awake - which is debatable and in itself an oxymoron - once the 3.8 v 4.0 thingy is all in place, would I have needed to restarted in 3.8 Horizons to achieve the same result?

I feel my head is full of cotton wool this morning.

You are entirely forgiven - I feel like it's a widespread vibe at the moment.
I'm actually gathering the concerns raised regarding just how many Commanders still do switch to 3.8 in order to fix certain situations. This is absolutely on the radar over on this side but I'm not quite there yet with solid direction as it's a pretty big one to discuss. It's with us though o7

Hi Factabulous,

What Sally has posted is correct. When the option to launch in 4.0 is made available to all PC players, instancing will be separate between 3.8 and 4.0 (as it has always been) AND separate between Horizons and Odyssey on 4.0. There's no final state to confirm in situations like this which are always open to re-evaluation. If the situation changes, we'll make an announcement to that effect.
That... wasn't what I expected. From the previous thread, I assumed that EDH 4.0 & EDO players can instance together in space.

Heck, I thought they might even be able to instance together on ground. Like an EDH 4.0 player in an SRV can see an EDO player who is on foot, but cannot disembark from the SRV.

Am I the only one who thought like this?

Cool, that's how I read it and I just wanted to check it had changed from your previous post last year (as stuff does!)

Thx!

Well, that is disappointing I'm not going to lie. I can't at the moment work out any reason to log into Horizons 4.0.

Thanks for clearing it up at least.

Nope, I recall it was already explained that the difference in age rating between Horizons (PEGI 7) and Odyssey (PEGI 16) meant they'd never instance.
Killing people in ships and trading drugs is fine for kids - but not killing people outside of ships. And if they're an NPC they might even swear!

Hey Bruce and @sallymorganmoore . Just some feedback from myself on the Horizons and Odyssey instancing. I think most of the playerbase have been expecting 4.0 to allow this to some extent and re-unite the playerbase after the original split with Odyssey. So this is kinda dissapointing news. If there are some major techincal reasons why this isnt possible fair enough. But if there is a chance that it can be done and there is still scope to re-evaluate I would really suggest looking into this. Brining Horizons and Odyssey players back together, even to some extent really would be a very awesome thing and im sure the community would be extremely happy to have this!

:)

You can add me to the list :) Just as the most recent example.

I was trying to get Guardian Relics on Friday and when I was in Odyssey I could only actually shoot 1 out of 4 relics at a site out of the housing, every time I logged in. I had to swap to Horizons in order to be able to collect them all.

I also ran into a similar issue - most Relics' housing wouldn't be damaged by the SRV, but if I disembarked and shot them they'd pop out fine.
Then there was the Relic that itself decided to not pop out and seemingly had no collision:

Further shooting got it out though...
