Discussion about taking cats into space...

Cat evolved

Are you nuts!?!

The dam creatures would be a menace. They freak out, at a moments notice and have razor sharp claws. They are unstable, undisciplined, selfish and have no real use, other that to consume and defecate all over the place.

We are not talking about cute balls of cuddly fur here. We are talking about demanding psychopaths, that would be happy to eat your face off, if you did not feed them on time and they thought that they could get away with it.
;)
Sounds a bit extreme but largely accurate.

You do realize that the Black Death was caused by killing off the cats that kept down the rodent population because people thought that all cats were evil?

Rats have a very bad reputation. It's completely undeserved. :) I don't think cats are evil. Just unnecessary.

I think crapping in the streets or flinging it out your window in tightly packed neighborhoods also had something to do with it.

We all know, that cats can't read...

My hypothesis: Cats can read perfectly fine. They just don't care about what any sign, book or other reading matter might have to say.

For decades, there was debate about whether or not cats could see in colour. Biologists would argue, "We've dissected cat eyes and analysed them down to the cellular level. They've got the biological equipment needed to be able to see in colour, therefore they should be able to see in colour". Animal behaviourists would argue back, "We've run test after test after test, and the cats keep failing them. There's no indication that cats are capable of discerning between objects of different colour". It turned out that the biologists were correct. Cats can see in colour, they just don't care what colour something is and so never respond differently to different-coloured objects.

They don't care because they are to busy watching what's going on in different dimensions. Thargoids use them to hyperdict Cmdrs.

My last cat preferred pink jingle balls.
