[DISTANT WORLDS] Beagle Point Roll Call

People of the fleet, crew of the galaxy's finest ships,

Distant Worlds 3302 has seen a lot of history, or at least a lot of hyperspace animations, and has gone through a lot of roll calls. This will be our last. It will not fail us if we do not fail ... it. If we succeed in our mission and post about it here, Distant Worlds will have a list of those who succeeded in their mission and made it to Beagle Point. If we don't ... it won't.

This is the Distant Worlds Beagle Point role call. Any and all official and spiritual members of the Distant Worlds expedition from January 14, 3302 to May 31, 3302 who made it to Beagle Point can post about it here. They will be added to all the rosters I can get my hand on, as well as to the final fleet chart.

I will add all official and spiritual fleet members who have already arrived or arrive until June 5, 3302 (final date subject to change), after the FGE Flotilla has touched down at Darwin's legacy and Distant Worlds 3302 officially ends. Note that this thread here does only serve the purpose of updating the fleet roster and recording each and every Distant Worlds related arrival at Beagle Point. It will not get you on List #1 (see below). You can check for which of the final lists (and how) you will qualify here:

Please be aware of this very important information. It is time to decide who is going to make the official lists of those who have made it to Beagle Point as part of the Distant Worlds Expedition. A lot of information has been thrown around about it over the time, including from the organisers, and now it is time to consolidate the rules and conditions to make the lists. List #1

This will be deemed the official list. Those on it may receive rewards, and the list may be published in some official capacity. The list will be grouped to people who arrive in the official week of 2nd April to 9th April or May 31st to June 5th at the top, everyone else in the middle, and bonus late qualifiers at the bottom. To qualify you need both of the following:

 To be on the official Fleet Roster
 Arrive at Beagle Point between 2nd April and 5th June (final date subject to change)

Notes:
* You may qualify for a late entry to the fleet roster if you have shown dedication and made it.
* You may also qualify for list #1 if you arrived a little bit outside the time range, if you can provide good reason. For all such matters, please PM Dr. Kaii in the forums, making your case. The list is open for a while, so don’t panic if you don’t get an immediate response. All decisions will be discussed between the organisers and decisions will be final.
* Anyone not on the roster but has already been accepted into Kamzel will be added to the roster automatically and qualifies for List #1 so long as they fill out their details here [Note by DoubtOutLoud: Here as in the Beagle Point Roll Call thread you are reading right now]. Anyone who makes List #1 but is not in Kamzel will be eventually invited to Kamzel and FleetComm.

List #2

This will be a list for everyone else. If you made it outside of the range 2nd April to June 5th, or never made the official roster, or for those who are on the official roster but rushed ahead and didn’t participate with the fleet at all. This list will be published with the first in all cases but will not be considered official, and people on it will not receive any potential rewards. Note there is nothing confirmed with regards to rewards right now.

Honourable Roll-Call

We will be conducting an honourable role call for those that made it during the primary week of 2nd April to 9th April, and those that made the secondary week; the FGE Exploration Wings arrival 31st May to 5th June. Details regarding this to be finalised.

How to get considered

To submit, you will need to use this thread (bookmark it now). Remember you will need to submit the following:

CMDR Name:
Fleet roster number (if applicable):
Date of arrival:
“I give my consent for Frontier to share my CMDR server data with Dr. Kaii and potentially other organisers of the Distand Worlds expedition” (If you don’t give this, we can’t check if you really made it and won’t add you to the list)

Note no proof is required.

The thread is currently closed and will be opened at a later date. Please monitor the newsletters, FleetComms and emails for further details and potential ammendments to these conditions.

We would like to assure everyone that we are definitely going to be as fair and flexible as possible, while at the same time avoiding a massive workload.

If you are on the initial Distant Worlds roster, please provide the following information:

1. Your date of arrival at Beagle Point.
2. A screenshot of you at Beagle Point, with your right side panel open showing your commander name and outside cockpit view of your distance to Sol.
3. Your roster number. (Pretty please. I'll look up all your other data, but that one makes it a lot easier. In case you forgot it, you can look it up here.)
4. Your ship type, if different from the official roster.

If you are not on the initial Distant Worlds roster, please provide the following information:

1. Your date of arrival at Beagle Point.
2. A screenshot of you at Beagle Point, with your right side panel open showing your commander name and outside cockpit view of your distance to Sol.
3. Your ship type, ship name, jump range, and your primary role during the expedition (i.e. Explorer, Prospector, Cartographer, Fuel Rat etc).
4. The group you are flying in (i.e. Kamzel, Erimus, Patrecleus, or Open Play).

Why not ask for screenies from everyone, including those on the official roster? If nothing else, it will make for a pretty impressive thread

Just kidding. Everyone is free to post a screenshot here if they want to, I just don't ask the Kamzelites for one. (Those are, after all, the people I entrust my ship to at base camp meetings.)

I only play solo, the feeling of being totally alone so far away is the best thing about exploring for me.

My jumprange is 23.7 ly.*

I see you are also flying a T6 - Compared to it, it has shorter jump-range, but has a better powerplant. It has just enough internals, heat management is excellent, easy to control during planetary landings and it has cool engines.

It appears to be quite sturdy as well, I took a pretty hard hit when I crashed into the mountain!

I will definitely keep this ship, but if I make it back, I'll probably build a Fer-de-Explorance.

*Edit: I didn't save weight by having no shields and I fitted the best engines as well. On the other hand, the ship is unarmed, the only externals are two light shield boosters.

I was not in a group or even an official member of the expedition. I had already started towards the core when the idea was finalized and set in motion. That's why I put spiritual member under Role =)
