Statement about the expedition: I have always preferred Exploration and this was a unique experience to travel across the galaxy with such a large group of other players. I had always called off my expeditions for inexplicable reasons around the halfway mark so getting into this group and finally breaking that halfway mark in good company was extremely fun.

-Number of times I had to return to the bubble : Twice. Both due to fatigue/self moment of stupidity. First time was at WP5, just wasn't looking at the speed I was descending while talking on discord ... Second time was at WP13 (or 14), was discussing space and science news with a family member without noticing throttle was still up ... boom ! Through those two crashes, I ended up with less than 9000CR, though I'm now quietly sitting here at BP

-Statement about the expedition: DWE has only be my third "big" expedition considering I've been playing since launch, and as hard-exploring only, due to an 8 months timelapse out of the game. To say it all, the only reason I got back to Elite was actually DWE. It literally relieved to explorer that was sleeping in me. It's been the most learn-friendly game event I've ever made, whether it's about how to play better, or in Real-Life, thanks to all the amazing people I've met and talked with along the journey.

For the story : When I got back to Elite in Jan. 3302, I was still out in the black with a tiny Adder 2000ly from the bubble. I jonked as fast as I could back (didn't knew about what "jonking" neither "buckyballing" was) to the bubble to sell data from my first expedition, afford a DBX fitted with an Intermediate SS only (which I never had before, per say ), and actually not optimized at all as it has a 19ly jump range only. I was a total newb at ship outfitting as well. The day the fleet departed from Pallaeni, I then went out starting WITH the fleet guys in open but for a fast expedition toward Eta Carina with the new shiny DBX, and once reached, buckyballed my way to the bubble again to get the credits from all of that data.
On the 22nd of Febrary, I bought an asp, outfitted it the best I could with the money I had, fastly ran to Barnard's loop randomly scanning to get the last bit of credits for the DSS, and directly headed to Pallaeni to start the journey.
Since then, I have learned the hard way twice by crashing, which concluded in two buckyballs, all during the same week, and both roughly the distance between Sol and WP12.
Since then I stood above 90% shields all the way to BP, discovered a new love for Stellar Data analysis and launched my first large-scale scientific study of the galaxy, and most importantly, became friend with the most amazing and lovely people I could've ever dreamt of !
