There was no real NEED to make the trip (I'd only incurred 2% hull damage) but I did so for reasons of artistic continuity in my videos - with hindsight, not something I would undertake again! The Fleet was nearing WP11 when I set off for home - I caught up with the Expedition again in time to reach WP13
Statement about the expedition: The DW Expedition has been the most enjoyable game community activity I've taken part in during the 15+ years I've been playing MMOs. The sense of camaraderie, fun, and determination has been unprecedented. Plus, if it weren't for the DWE, I probably would never have started making my Turjan's Travels videos, and they're without a doubt the most fun creative thing I've done for ages, so to everyone who enjoys my videos, I say "you have the DWE to thank!"

Statement about the expedition: This wasn't my first trip out into the black, but I don't think I would have made it this far on my own, or if I did, it would have been way less fun (probably would have buckyballed most of it). Having the regular meetups on a schedule kept people on track and helped minimize the isolation found in the vast nothingness of space. The camaraderie, encouragement, and shared discoveries (with some very pretty sights) kept our spirits up. Many thanks to those who organized the whole expedition, and to those of the fleet as well, all of who contributed to creating a great experience.

Statement about the expedition:
Whilst not my 1st trip out into the void of unexplored space, this was definitely the longest expedition I have undertook. The guys that have organised the DWE have done a spectacular job, the community have really come together in this venture and I have not seen the like since the early days of Star Wars Galaxies. My own sense of personal achievement at actually reaching Beagle Point has changed my point of view with regards to Elite Dangerous. Once the festivities have ended I fully intend to return home a different route and explore more of our wonderous galaxy. Thank you DWE for the best experience I have enjoyed in a game for a long time.
