Statement about the expedition: Before all this I thought a Sag. A run was madness. You guys inspired me to go and at least try to make BP. And now, today, I made it the second time and I actually cant believe it. Thank you! Number of times I had to return to the bubble: Had to return 3 times! First was for damage sustained landing on a high gravity planet. Second was for a SRV cliff jump! And the third was because I went upstairs to get a coffee and some waffles, while leaving my ship ascending off the planet and into space. (not in supercruise yet) when i got back with food and drink, I found myself staring into the "inky Blackness" of my screen reading the words in the middle saying, "You Have Been Destroyed!" No worries though, I got back on the saddle and got a new ship (DBX to ASP)

Statement about the expedition:This Journey was the most difficult task I've ever completed in my gaming history! The amount of time spent on this expedition is "Mind Blasting". When i met Sivian at Sag A, I decided that I was going to be nice and start giving away some of my Meta Alloy[yesnod]. I ended up giving away 5 tons, lost 2 tons to Sag A "Critical Overheating" and kept the last one. I'm on my way back to the bubble now and can't wait to experience "docking" for the first time in 3 months. Like i said.... this journey is hard, many have turned back some were destroyed, a fair amount may have suffered "Space Madness" due to the repetitive jumping. Would I do it again.............?......You Damn Right I Would!!

Statement about the expedition: This trip took on more meaning that I could ever imagined. It has created new bonds within the exploration community that will not soon be forgotten. It has also provided countless harrowing adventures, misadventures, and near misses. I have said many times that exploration is too safe, and it is. But the one exception is rolling the dice at the edge of the galaxy with a 16T tank while trying to blaze your path to Bagel Point. The lesson here is that shortcuts are almost always longcuts. I almost biffed it on a bingo fuel jump to extend my range, while jumping into a multi star systems 4 of 5 of which were unscoopable. Luckily for me, the scoopable was the actual jump primary! Otherwise this would be a tale of woe and tragedy that might have ended a scant 200 LY from BP. Haha! But here I am, and here I think I shall stay for a spell. Run some tests, take in the magnificent view. Maybe circumnavigate this little rock 65,000 LY from home?

I have said many times that exploration is too safe, and it is. But the one exception is rolling the dice at the edge of the galaxy with a 16T tank while trying to blaze your path to Bagel Point. The lesson here is that shortcuts are almost always longcuts. I almost biffed it on a bingo fuel jump to extend my range, while jumping into a multi star systems 4 of 5 of which were unscoopable. Luckily for me, the scoopable was the actual jump primary! Otherwise this would be a tale of woe and tragedy that might have ended a scant 200 LY from BP. Haha!

Close call Good thing it worked out, I like the tale of success and accomplishment better.

I bet it got the blood flowing though.

But here I am, and here I think I shall stay for a spell. Run some tests, take in the magnificent view. Maybe circumnavigate this little rock 65,000 LY from home?

Statement about the expedition: [my most interesting story, I guess would be a near death experience. I play with a wireless mouse, the charging cable easily plugs into it though if the battery gets low. one night in between waypoints 20 and 21 i jumped to the next system in my route, and while in witch space decided to plug my mouse in because the battery was getting low. as soon as i did, and for the first time ever, the act of plugging in the mouse cause the mouse driver to crash. just as i came out of witch space. nothing i could do but sit and watch my ship run into the star. i take a bit of damage as i drop out of supercruse. "oh well" i think to myself, didnt lose much on my hull percentage. then i realize my keyboard is not responding either. "hmm okay i probably just need to restart" i hit ctrl alt delete, because thats what you do, when nothing else works . suddenly my keyboard works again for just that button sequence. game minimizes and the log in screen for windows pops up. but in the background i hear ED say "silent running mode activated" !!!!!!!!!! "oh gawd no" and of course the keyboard is still buggin out. my ship is melting next to a star, and none of my peripherals are working. i panic for about 10 seconds, and then suddenly it hits me. "just hit the power button the tower you fool". and thus i saved my ship. i don't believe i have ever felt that much panic and anxiety in a video game before. and for whatever reason i loved it.]
