Read it again carefully.
I said it took 3 days and 15 minutes. 3 days of uninterrupted exploring/driving, which can't really be classified as "waiting". And 15 minutes of combined travel time back to the bubble and time waiting for Support to send me back to the Fleet. Hence the actual trip to the bubble took 15 minutes.
The whole process was about as disruptive to my exploration as Alt-Tabbing and posting to the forum 3 times between jumps.
I got that in my first reading, but in my case it didn't work that way. It took them well over 2 days to send me back
after I was already sent to the bubble. Here's a short breakdown of how it worked:
1) SRV exploded, contacted support.
2) A bit over 2 days later, they reply, and ask which port to send me to. I immediately replied with a port name.
3) A bit over 2 days after that, I was sent back to the port specified and asked to let them know when I'm done. I restocked and immediately replied that I'm done, maybe 20 minutes after they sent me back to the bubble.
4) A bit over 2 days after this bit, I was sent back to my original location.
Each phase took between 2-3 days, and yes, I played normally during 1-3, but my bubble time was still a bit over 2 days. If it took less for you, that's great, but my point is it can still take well over 15 minutes of bubble time, and it indeed has in my case. For this reason I'm not inclined to risk faffing about surfaces because I can't be bothered to go through all that again, and I honestly have no practical reasons to go planet side. Hopefully this gets fixed in the next patch, there'll be plent of times to drive around in the buggy
