335 pages. Thats how long the DK2 & Elite thread is today.
I received my DK2 today, and strangely enough I actually want to play with my Dk2, not read 300+ pages of a thread trying to find the useful titbits that it surely contains. I also figure I'm probbaly not the only one in this boat, so I'm hoping this thread can be more of a beginners guide with some very basic questions which as they get answered I'll try and compile into this 1st post.
Let me start it off:
I'm sure I'll have more questions, but that's a good start. if anyone else has beginner tips they'd like to share, please do.

Let me start it off:
* How do you re-center your view if it get's out of whack? - Use F12 (same as you use for TrackIR!)
* Is it normal that your eyes take a moment to focus on different elements? Things tend to look blurry until I look 'at' them for a second.
* Wow.. it really feels like I'm in my ship!!! (not a question, just f-ing fantastic)
* What are the different modes (Oculus Headphones etc, why does it say Headphones?) - This affects the soundscape when using teh Rift, pick the one that matches your setup for accurate sound placement.
* How do i see the FPS I'm getting? - Preferred Solution:

Another, less optimal solution may be to remove the left lens and use CRTL-F to display the FPS, however caution must be used as dust or cleaning the display WILL scratch it![/B]Afterburner seemed to be the most popular solution because you can view FPS directly in the Rift (comes with RivaTuner, set bottom right value to 300x300 which makes fps show top left on the HMD).
