Have they done this to planet coaster before? If only… I don’t think it’s in the cards for us
No, but I’m almost 100% this is because of the criticism towards the game at launchHave they done this to planet coaster before?
Yeah i'm sure it is but it will be nice if they start doing it for all their games. No, but I’m almost 100% this is because of the criticism towards the game at launch
It does sound nice, but there is a reason PC2 is getting this and not PZ. As much as I would love this for PZ, we would never get this at this point of time.It would do wonders for keeping the community alive. It’s sort of dying right now.
Also updates and new things to wait for every month sounds kind of amazing.
True but it’s kind of sad that the game needs to sell kind of bad to receive that kind of treatmentIt does sound nice, but there is a reason PC2 is getting this and not PZ. As much as I would love this for PZ, we would never get this at this point of time.
Career maps are not? available as starting layouts? Wow thats a new lowSomething like this for planet zoo would be amazing View attachment 414722View attachment 414723

Yeah that's fair, but I'd still love a "wait till X month" from frontier to know when to expect stuff. And if PZ2 is ever a thing for its whole development. As for PZ, I don't think this would make sense at this point in development. I don't think this would be worth doing for them as we'll be waiting months upon months for any update that will inevitably have much less content than this... So it would look very sparse.
I mean, yeah, that would be nice but... Why would they do that? Doing that would mean a chunk of people will fully unplug and stop talking about, maybe even playing the game. Certain people might also wait on buying the game or DLC too. There's no upside to them doing that at this stage.Yeah that's fair, but I'd still love a "wait till X month" from frontier to know when to expect stuff. Yeah you are right, I do enjoy the mystery myself, I'd hate it if a roadmap just spoiled the whole ordeal, but given the state of the game I wouldn't mind it as much I guess.I mean, yeah, that would be nice but... If the goal is to keep people talking and engaging? A bit of mystery at this point in the game is the way to go. The Planet Zoo community is a big part of why this game has been so successful (and, TBH, probably a bit of the reason why Frontier goes so "light" on PZ in their streams these days; the community sustains itself very nicely).
For a newer game with quarterly (or more) updates, though? It could be really fun to see something like this. Telling us what to expect over the next ~6 months and beyond. Even if they don't tell us everything I can see that prompting some really big chatter.
I mean this in the nicest way possible, but actually I think a roadmap is way better for something like PC2 than PZ. In fact, I’m even happy we don’t have one.Frontier publishes a road map for Planet Coaster and the forum posts gets only 1 comment. If they published a road map for Planet Zoo, this forum would burn down and we would reach a thousand pages!
Don't get me wrong! I'd definitely love a high-level road map. Tell me, broadly, what we're getting and when... I'm all for it. Save some of the tastier bits for an actual reveal and don't tell me a specific date it'll be coming so there's some sort of a surprise and I'm in. Haha.Yeah you are right, I do enjoy the mystery myself, I'd hate it if a roadmap just spoiled the whole ordeal, but given the state of the game I wouldn't mind it as much I guess.
I know I’m coming off as super bitter, but not being drip fed that stuff is why I’m happy. If I’m upset with a dlc roster I would rather be upset all at once then knowing months in advance it’s not the dlc for me. Like if we got something like this:If they came out and did this for Planet Zoo, they'd announce it... And then when the update actually happened much of the luster will have worn off because people will have known about it for 2-3 months. Better to slam people with it and get it to them quickly. There'll be way more hype for it that way.
But, again, if they did this for PZ earlier in development? Like a, "here are the new features/updates we have planned for the year by quarter" and they kept a few things hidden as a surprise (and maybe give us a singular hint for each related DLC)? That could have gone over really nicely.
