I know it doesn't mean much, but the Coati not being the headliner makes me worry of its existance in the pack.

It’s not that well known of an animal so it doesn’t surprise me, a lot more people know what a coyote is. Same thing happened with the porcupine and the Wolverine. Something being top on the meta doesn’t make it the headliner automatically.

more people know what a coyote is than a coati because if your not from the region or very into animals you wont know what a coati is. I literally learnt about when I first started chatting here. The coyote was the best choice for a headliner.

No I would like a mix, and a equal theme not somewhere in the middle of the desert with a sombero

The saki isn’t actually that surprising of a pick for a NWM, one of the less complex ones and more distinct from the capuchin than the squirrel monkey is, after the sifaka I doubt they are going to attempt something with a prehensile tail

Ngl im very happy with saki.
I prefer a simpler, but well done saki over a complicated but half done spider monkey any day

I'm gonna be honest I think people are being a bit too quick to assume that it is a saki, I still think its not set in stone and could be something else. I hope people are right though.

I think one of the last two has to be the coati, I would be shocked if it got skipped. I think best case scenario that is likely is we get the Mara as well.

Let's also consider that this pack would blend well with what we've received in the past.
Coyote? Perfect with the Grasslands and North American and Twilight packs
Reah? South America, y'all
Saki? Tropical and South America
Flamingo was just a popualr choice, why not add it? I'm kinda tired of the Greater Flamingo and want something more crimson in color...

So overall:

1. It’s not the last pack (or at least it would be a pretty weird on to end on)
2. It’s another 7 animal + scenery type pack.
3. Saki, Coyote, Rhea, Flamingo 2, and Bighorn Sheep confirmed with 2 more to go.
4. 2 most likely themes are Latin America and what I believe, Americas.

Americas just makes more sense since they’ve done Eurasia before combining 2 continents.

But I don’t really understand why everyone isn’t a bit more happy about this one, I mean we finally got the Rhea and a SA monkey, and a pretty good one at that. Both things that we have waited ages for. Flamingo and sheep are nice improvements on current models, and the coyote is a nice rep for the west.

Currently the ratio is 2 (NA) to 3 (SA) so I bet we get 1 more of each. Coati and Mara perhaps?

I mean my hope is we get a waterfowl still, but yeah I think coati and Mara are likely.

I got to be honest I was expecting no birds so the fact we got the Rhea and a flamingo makes me so happy.

I would also like to say, the key art only features two animals definitively.

1. The flamingo can still be chilean
2. The monkey could still be a howler (it does look a lot like the saki but we might see)
3. The bighorn sheep really just falls on if they do a subspecies or not

We still have two slots left, and if it’s like Eurasia with the mute swan it might be a huge surprise. I’ll say though finally getting another NWM and bird makes me forgive ZooKeeper a bit more.

If you gonna have two birds in the America's have Rhea and Scarlet Ibis or a Spoonbill, not another flamingo...

Exactly, Spoonbill is way more iconic and could have allow us to have a huge variety for or birdcages... I don't understand...
