Okay, fun question: Was another asian elephant species ever on a wishlist in the forum?
you joke but that unironically is my most wanted animal.
Okay so looking more at it, it probably is an elephant rather than a bovid. Becuase there is that hanging barrel enrichment and I looked which animals use it in game. It is used by elephants and no bovid use it, so yeah. Not my first choice, but there are still enough slots for it to be a good roster.

I agree it's very likely to be Asia themed. It's just with the honey badger being the "front line" animal, this is not an exclusively Asian animal, so it got my brain whirring.

Sri Lankan elephants have no votes on the meta wishlist, which might be a first. This is as close as we can get to say it's a pick that was "objectively" requested by nobody.
and both having a let down with Polar bears and pinnipeds being confirmed as not coming for COTW and a third elephant potentially coming to PZ.
As a active player of both games, it's a weird time lol.
That’s my prediction as well, same as to why the ZooKeeper pack had zookeepers. It didn’t mean they are coming to the game (they are already here) but they add to the vibe of the key art.
Is this for real? are we gettting the last main (and possibly best) meme animal left? I am totally here for it but very surprised we’re getting something soon.

eh Im actually quite happy with the cotw map 19 animals and a full class set will make it one of the most diverse maps in the game and its on track to have the most unique animals to. I was hoping for either a british colombia or high arctic map but for the location the roster looks great and pinnipeds were never going to come anyways they just dont fit a game where you cant even swim.

Can we just appreciate for a second that we have gotten primates THREE packs in a row and all of them have been pretty requested choices. Baboon, Sifaka, Saki, Lion Tailed Macaque, its a great time to be a primate fan. Very excited for the badger and macaque, 2 iconic animals that I have wanted for a while.
Its unfortunate though because I'll have to switch over from my South America section to start working on my Asia section already which is a shame because my SA is almost done. Elephant clone is fine as long as it's the only major clone in the pack (I might make an exception for the lion - maybe). At the end of the day its an upgraded elephant model so just like any subspecies clone it brings something.
Question though - are we now expecting 4 packs a year or are we thinking this is the real last pack so they could pair it with Americas and be done for good?
