Okay, this took me a few days. This is how I would finish things up if I were Frontier.
Yes this is greedy. Yes I like fluffy things. Yes I like smol things. Yes there are about a hundred monkeys in here.
These are not predictions, these are my wishes and dreams
DLC18 - Highlands
Pallas Cat, Hanadryas Baboon, Markor confirmed.
Abert's Squirrel: a rocky mountain squirrel of beautiful colouration.
Serow: an unusual ungulate adding rep for Japan.
Mountain hare: to finally give us a lagomorph
Rock hyrax: because they're fantastic. Huge range so highly flexible in use and could share an interspecies bonus with many other animals.
Three horned mountain chameleon: finally adding a chameleon and some much-needed colour to the pack.

DLC19 - Lat Am Animal Pack
Howler monkey, brown spider monkey and squirrel monkey - to make up for the absolute dearth of SA monkeys in the game.
South American coati - this one's long overdue for me
Greater rhea - a wide-ranging habitat bird for SA grasslands
Southern Tamandua - popular zoo species with interesting behaviours to give us an arboreal anteater
Patagonian mara - to give the rhea its best friend. Strong flexibility in mixed pampas habitats
Pygmy marmoset WE - first of two small-mammal WEs I want to include.

DLC22 - Rainforest Animal Pack
Bornean Pygmy Forest Elephant - what a headliner! Unusual in zoos but they are kept in captivity in some important SE Asian sanctuaries. This will become more important to protect and restore their conservation in the wild as their numbers are sadly dwindling.
Grey Shanked Douc Langur - a favourite monkey from my time in Vietnam. An extraordinarily beautiful primate and gives us a prettier monkey for tropical Asian sections. Another important conservation pick.
Bush dog - more SA rep and a different sized tropical canine
Goodfellow's tree monkey - highly requested fan favourite and more rep for Oceania
Margay - providing us with a very small and beautiful Amazonian cat
Slow loris - personal favourite and together with the aye-aye below, completes our nocturnal houses with a common-in-captivity species
Aye aye - as above, to complete the nocturnal roster and add a highly unique type of lemur steeped in mythology and intrigue
Rainbow lorikeet WE - more Oceania rep and a much-longed for WE flying bird

EDIT: Regretful omissions
Tanuki - I would really love this animal. It's probably in my top 5 most wanted, but I just couldn't find a spot for it.
Waterfowl - The best place for a duck would be to swap out on the NA species. I just went with personal preference, with the deer I can make a Disney zoo with Bambi and the Jungle Book. The gray fox is a non-compromise for me!
More birds, especially the
Roseate Spoonbill and the
Blue or
Grey-Crowned Crane. I'd also love a
hornbill and some
macaws. I decided to avoid habitat aviary birds and I chose the Secretary bird over a crane, just because it's so highly requested and it's a total badass.
Short-beaked echidna - this could easily replace the margay in the rainforest pack. It's an either/or for me. I went with more SA rep.
