DLC20 Discussion (maybe, but why not?)

Which of these scenarios are we most expecting?

  1. DLC20 drops in June
  2. DLC20 drops in October
  3. There is no DLC20
  • Americas Animal Pack - April 15th
  • Barnyard + Zookeeper Bundle - May 27th (approx.)
  • Final Animal Pack + Anniversary Animal - October 14th (approx.)
  • Western + Final Bundle - October 14th (approx, console players finally get parity with PC!)
And to sweeteen the deal, that ends PZ off at a clean 210 species.

Although I wanted to pick 1 for June, I would think "what's the use?" Surely 2 for October will/would be the answer if there really will be DLC20 coming soon.

Isn't making promises that cannot keep a "waste of time" or what?

none of the above I think it will be july lining up the bundle timeline and being a dual release
Don't forget they still have a double bundle which could be their June one ( Barnyard + Zookeeper ) , with November being the DLC we are getting this month and the next one that we might get to make it a double pack for console ( Americas + Unknown ) . And lines up with anniversary for Planet Zoo in general.

Honestly I think it would be more likely to see the tanuki since it has a stronger presence within gaming and general media than the mainland raccoon dog and for the most part serves the same purposes. It also is just that little bit of a strange pick that it seems like a very frontier move.
I hope the german version will do as they did with the alpine goat, call it by the broadest term possible and just leave it at that and honestly it would be better for the englisch version aswell, just call it racoon dog and mention as a fanfact that they are known as tanukis in japan and win win

If Frontier wants to make money then at April's Frontier Unlocked they will announce Barnyard & Zookeepers for May, and in June they will announce the next dlc for pc:
June 25 - showing the dlc covers,
July 8 - announcement,
July 15 - launch,
after the summer boundle Americas & (?), and from the anniversary dlc for both platforms PC and console. Planet Zoo is currently too profitable product of Frontier to stop releasing more dlc, especially after the failed Planet Coster. We can speculate how many more dlc we will get, I think the first part of Planet Zoo may end with about 250 species.

That's very optimistic and i hope you are right but i personally believe next one is the last (i know we have been here multiple times but still it feels likely). I just hope is a larger pack. Crossing My fingers for at least 10-12 animals.

I would like DLC 20 to be a Global Animal Pack with no building pieces instead of more plushies for the Souvenir Shops or more Education enrichment guests could interact with. It could be somehow the "final pack" with more than just 7 animals, like lets say 12 animals, 2 exhibit animals and 1 WTE animal.
So we would get 15 animals in the end.
My personal wishlist would be

1. Coati
2. Golden Lion Tamarin
3. Secretary Bird or Grey Crowned Crane
4. Honey Badger
5. Bat Eared Fox
6. European Fishotter
7. Guinea Fowl
8. Blackbuck
9. Pelican or Duck
10. Muntjac
11. Mantled Guereza
12. Goodfellow Tree-Roo
13. Exhibit 1: Chameleon
14. Exhibit 2: King Cobra
15. WTE: Hummingbirds

Still I would miss the Mara, Howler Monkey, Greater Kudu, Pudu, Serval, Golden Pheasant, Alpine Marmot or Musk Ox and even the Green Anaconda, but probably we cannot have em all :)

We are talking about the last dlc since Eurasia Animal Pack, Zookeepers was probably supposed to be the last one, but Frontier's financial situation, lack of growth in Planet Coster sales force them to release more DLC for Planet Zoo

I find it hard to disagree that ZK was probably originally going to be a final pack,
But that means they really were going to leave us with just one NWM.

given that, ending without the coati Tree Kangaroo or secretary bird seems entirely possible.’

As for future DLC, i would go in a very cool way, make a DLCs based on zoogeographic zones:
  • Nearctic Animal Pack
  • Palearctic Animal Pack
  • Afrotropical Animal Pack
  • Oriental Animal Pack
  • Australasian Animal Pack
  • Neotropical Animal Pack
and finally a Global Animal Pack with 12 animals

Well, the animals could have changed when they decided it was not gonna be the last pack. Which I think is very likely
