Wasn't the Ethiopian wolf considered a jackal? Beautiful animal, I'd love them for ZT2 nostalgia alone, but I understand if they aren't popular

As soon as I saw the picture I knew it was Pairi Daiza. I love that spot in the park. It's absolutely gorgeous, especially at night. I slept in a lodge with a direct water-level view on their enclosure 2 years ago. Truly an unforgettable moment. Walruses are much more graceful than they appear once they're in the water. I also slept in room next to the polar bears enclosure 4 years ago but bears are way less active than walruses. I go back this year and I will sleep with the Siberian Tigers

I guess it can but I've never experienced it. It was definitely one, if not THE, best day in my life. One of the things I'll probably remember the most are the noises walruses do when they are underwater. The walls and windows are extremely thick of course but you can still hear noises escaping and it's incredible. Your profile picture and mine are actually the 2 top animals on my wishlist! Hoping to get both of them in game even though I hardly believe it will happen for the walrus.

I was in Belgium in 2015. It never occurred to me to stay in the zoo! What a great way to travel! I'm gonna keep that in mind for future trips
Seems to get more common as time goes on. I know of a couple other zoos that offer hotel rooms, like beekse bergen and schwerin. In those cases its not as spectecular as in pairi daiza, but being over the top is that zoos whole thing
I was watching a documentary about them and geladas this weekend and made me want both of them (zt2 had both).
I've always prefered the gelada over hamadryas, but after seeing what the hamadryas fur looks like I'm not sure i want the gelada anymore.
Even Chester has lodges now, from them you can view giraffes mixed with blesbok. Annoyingly, the blesbok are not viewable elsewhere in the zoo.Seems to get more common as time goes on. Underrated pack theme imo if they continue to merge multiple continents into packs I could definitely see them doing Australasia. It would be a great way to put in the tree roo then just add a bunch of popular clones from both areas like lowland Anoa, gaur, blackbuck, a pheasant, etc. Anoa specifically would be one I would love to see.
Perfect Pack idea also we all have the attention span of ants, it hasn't even been 12 hours since pack release.

Something like this could work now that we have American flamingos out of the way:
- Sea Otter (mascot)
- Atlantic Puffin
- Brown Pelican (choosing this over Great White only because it's more saltwater associated, and for interspecies enrichment potential with other Caribbean species)
- Green Sea Turtle
- Harbor Seal
- Scarlet Ibis
- Walrus
My ideal Coastal Animal Pack would look something like this:
- Green Sea Turtle
- Southern Elephant Seal
- Walrus
- Australian Pelican
- Marine Iguana
- Common Eider
- Cuban Crocodile
- 5 marine fish as Exhibit Animals
Hmm... i like my Islands pack better... also, isn't the Echidna exclusive to mainland Australia? Not sure we should be counting a whole continent as an island...
No it ranges into Tasmania and New Guinea so should be totally fine in a islands pack, islands and costal could be cool themes but in my opinion they largely rely on birds and other more unique animals I doubt frontier will deliver.
