I haven't seen much people asking for the hog deer when we talk about asian deer or am i missing some thread about deer? Haha

When asking for asian deer what i see come up in order of popularity is:

1. Muntjac
2. Pere David deer
3. Chital/Sambar
4. Sika deer
5. Tufted deer

hog deer actually had quite a long discussion here a couple of days ago. I have seen less people talk about the tufted deer than hog deer

Hog deer is just "the cooler chital" to me haha. I'd be happy with either, just really want a tropical Asian deer and the chital is very pretty, but hog deer is in the same genus (in fact the two can hybridise) whilst also being more unique thanks to its smaller stubbier build, looking something like an intermediate between muntjacs and larger deer. They also get a bonus for their endangered status (chital is least concern).

If hog deer would be true, I like hog deer, it's an unusual fella, though I think muntjak would be better for interesting small deer, or my most favourite,
tuffed deer, however I don't know if it would fit the range of the DLC.

I would really like to have the fishing cat and to be honest, a squirrel might be cool for indoor tropical houses. But then as a walkthrough exhibit (like the sloth), which you can blend in. Both chital and hog deer is a bit overkill for me, but the pygmy elephant would make a Borneo area with the Bornean orangutan interesting to create. Maybe a very big tropical hall with proboscis monkey and the Prevost's squirrel.

I know, but it is likely we get a generic Asia pack the more I think about it. They would finally give the Philippines some representation. Northern Luzon Cloud Rat would be even better

I wouldn't be mad but wouldnt be excited either?

Though with some relatively minor tweaks could become solid?

I’m most excited for the elephant tbh haha. If we don’t get it, I’ll actually be quite disappointed.
That and the potential of an Asiatic Lion are what have me most excited.

If hog deer is replaced by the blackbuck and the elephant with a bird, then sure.

I would love the fishing cat. The honey badgers is great, too, and I'm glad we seem to be getting another monkey. A squirrel would be interesting , too, but I can't even hypothetically figure out how such an animal would work in PZ. A cloud rat and red squirrel are my picks if we are getting any tiny arboreal rodents. It could be nice for a tropical house though. Already, that's enough to make me feel pretty good about the pack.

I'd kind of miss the cobra and blackbuck, and I know other people would get way more upset about it. There will be other people who would get much more upset than me about the lack of a bird. While I think South Asia has some good options for birds, especially the bar-headed goose, demoiselle crane, or a stork, I don't think many of them are widely known. I wouldn't be too surprised if we didn't get one this time.

For the elephant, it doesn't interest me too much. I think more ungulates would have been better in that case, but I don't hate it. It would probably be my least favorite thing in the pack.

With the two deer, I would say the Indian grasslands have decent coverage now. I didn't need them and don't care about them too much, but they're all right.

All in all, it definitely wouldn't be my favorite pack, but I'm ok with it. I would still buy it, and I would be excited about the fishing cat. Everything else is ok to pretty good. Not bad.
