DLC20 Discussion (maybe, but why not?)

So we got 2 rainforest animals, 1 shrublandy one and a temperate one.
Decent chance for another himalayan animal to vary things up, what you think are the odds they shove in another caprid in for of the baral, tahr or something? :D

I'm sooo happy to see Pere David's Deer! They have a fascinating conservation story. Arguably the most fascinating Conservation story ever... They also look so unique to other deer.
Honey Badger I always wanted another badger. And Honey badger is the best choice IMO (aside from American Badger). but the community wouldn't have liked a New World Badger probably...
Lion-tailed Macaque is what everyone agrees the game needs more of and I think its the coolest of the Old World Monkeys.
Bornean Elephant is obviously the weakest pick but even it is kind of cool in that its smaller? Also represents Borneo which is cool.

Himalayan Thar incoming. I am the caprine master and I would always welcome some caprines but now? We just had 5 in a row, thats enough for now

Nothing directly against the nilgai, but what is so special about it that so many people want a nilgai?
Them being particularly common in real zoos is a big factor for me. Of the species you listed, saola and chiru I believe are not found in captivity anywhere, and most of the others (chital notwithstanding) are pretty rare in zoos. Meanwhile the nilgai is common, recognizable, and they're just sweet little creatures.

Nilgai have cultural significance in India and are in general just a very distinct antelope.

There's nothing that's really quite like them, especially in Asia.
Fun fact: their scientific name means "cow-deer goat-camel"

I wish they were common here in Aussie zoos! They’re so beautiful and unique. I don’t think we have any in Australian collections at all, so I hope we get them in Planet Zoo to make up for it.
