Is there a way to ignore entire threads?
or just actually ignore the thread, like, in real life ?Ignore the op and it shouldn't show up if you're browsing the DD forum.

The quoted 10 years was a financial plan.
Minecraft. The truth is that it is another point of view and maybe I take it "ad litteram"
Is there a game that had to be bought that lasts +7 years and receives content? None come to mind, or they are F2P or with subscription.
And SkyrimMinecraft.
there are still many promises to fulfill
It wasn't. It was mentioned by Mike Brookes at Lavecon 2015 as an answer to some question during a public Q&A session. I was actually there, but for the love of me I can't remember the context.
What I do remember that the "we have 10 years" was then taken largely out of that context and presented as "Elite will cease to exist after 10 years", which was absolutely NOT what Mike meant at the time.
It is totally irrelevant in 2021 too.
hahahahaha thats done meThe Elite community taking something out of context?

There's a few actually, Ark Evolved, Empyrion, No Man's Sky - though the last two are not 7+ years old, going by the somewhat specific threshold OP gave, though are effectively close enough to count IMO.And Skyrim(sort of)

knowing that, one would wonder why they dont pump out DLC's on the regular. If money is an issue, they can add an optional, non P2W monthly sub, learn to develop good DLCs every other year, and expand upon the cash shop, by adding player housing, and the enormous amount of player housing cash sHop items to sell. This game could make alot more money if it were managed a little better.IMO they will continue to develop it as long as it's profitable
FDEV is not a charity, it's a publicly listed company and has certain obligations toward its investors
I think the correct question is "will we able to play the game after it support stopped?".Does Elite development ends in 2024?
