Does this game use the word "Bouncy Castle"?

I have been playing Theme Park Sims since "Theme Park" by Bullfrog. That game used the word "Bouncy Castle", and my love for that game has led me on a crusade to use that term for such play things - and not any other. So as soon as I heard of this game (and got excited for it!) I had to know if this game uses "Bouncy Castle". It is make or break for me. Hopefully it does, and if it doesn't hopefully it changes!

So do I have to worry?

I think it may be because Bullfrog was a british game developer, and here in the UK, we called "Bounce House's" bouncy castles, usually because most of them are castle shaped and... well, they're bouncy :p

@Aaronroberts12567- growing up in NY, I have never heard of a Bouncy "House"... they are always castles unless they have some other, larger motif to them. Not sure what peoples obsession in the UK is with thinking things are so different here [noob] you can even rent them for a party if you want

Surprised to hear that PC will not have one. It was cool in Theme Park, and in RCT3 they had "trampolines" which I thought were dumb, but I did like the spinning rotary things that people stand in and flip around cuz I been on those in real life before. Why is a bouncy castle missing, Frontier? LoL that was a pretty big staple of amusement parks when I was younger (maybe not anymore?)

the space rings? I went on one when I was 9, was terrified, I wouldn't mind trying one now but, I don't think there are any about in the UK~ the one I tried was at Lightwater Valley but I don't think thats there anymore, and thats a far way away haha

As for the bouncy castle, I've only ever heard them in american movies / tv shows as a "bounce house" or "moon bounce" haha, Iunno if it fits in with theme park simulation, I mean, any theme park I've been to hasn't ever had a bouncy castle, though maybe in play areas? (soft play?) and sometimes those wacky games in parks to win prizes, wouldn't be against it per se, but I wouldn't really call it a "ride" aaaaaand now I'm having memories of the old play area at Chessington, I wish I was still young and could enjoy that sort of thing... wasn't there a thing on facebook recently about an adult version with ball pits or something?

The good old "Hüpfburg" [squeeeeee]

I think they may not include them because it's not really a theme-park attraction. It's more something you can find on a street festival.

I was a big fan of Bullfrogs Theme park as well! One of my favourite SNES games when I was a kid! [happy]
Yeah, Bouncy Castle feels like a classic ride to have in a park game.

Lol, for me it's "Hoppborg" in Swedish. Almost the same word. [rolleyes]
(=Jumpy Keep)

I don't think we have that sort of attraction in the game [mouth shut].
Must... have.... a.... Bouncy Castle! [knockout]

in revenge of the nerds they had a moon room with just bouncy floors, in the simpsons they had a space walk with bouncy floors and velcro ceilings (cartoon/not real) which yes that is another motif or "theme" that is sometimes used... but I have never heard of a bouncy house. I have heard of fun/goofy houses, spooky/haunted houses, crooked houses, and many other carnival themed rides, but a bouncy castle is never a house (that I ever heard of) lol i think i saw a bouncy kingdom one time though. Bouncy castles are usually for little kids, I have seen dozens of them and even went to a party where they rented one for their own kids who ended up collapsing it! It is a ride, like a trampoline, and can have a line or require tickets/money, and I only ever saw one that offered prizes and it required you to climb a wobbley ladder that was impossible to stay on to (and you would fall into the bouncy castle)... ball crawls are not the same, they have those at mcdonalds and chuck e cheeses, usually not for adults (that i know of)

I wouldn'y put one in my park as I don't believe they qualify as a theme park ride.
I've been to at least 3 or 4 different amusement parks with "bouncy castles" as a ride, as well as smaller places like chuck e cheese. Usually for kids, sometimes as a game. I've seen them at big parks and little ones. Personally, I don't think rock climbing, laser tag, or trampolines belong at amusement parks, but that's just me.

While I don't really look at PC, or even RCT, as being theme parks. Sure, you can make your park as one, but you could also make your park look like a state fair.
Although it's not a bad idea, but I haven't seen a bouncy castle in any of the RCT games, and theme park was an early 90's game. Please don't make this be a buy or no-buy decision. :)

I cannot comprehend this. All of my Theme Parks began with a Bouncy Castle. It was how you started your theme park!! Four attractions you had unlocked, an ice cream stand, and a janitor!

Can we at least get a sign that says "NO BOUNCY CASTLES"? The name must live on! (But really there should be a Bouncy Castle. Kids need things too!)

@SydVic- incredible [shocked]

Excellent point! The things people create in this game are amazing and so out of the box. I wish Frontier could give us an option of say something like:

- Amusement Park
- Fair grounds/carnival
- City street festival
- Other/etc.

and each one could have different settings like fair grounds could offer ticket booths instead of paid entrance. That would be awesome!

As for the base game I think it is safe bet to say that there will be no bouncy castle in game.

But maybe if they decide to release expansion pack that is more fairground style/sommarland (ok, it is Swedish thing but still, it less about common rides but more about "Soaked!", motor sports, playgrounds), you never know.

I want to tell you Planet coaster is amazing so do not let it stop from buying the game. But of course it is your decision.

As for me I hope to see skeleton guy return so we can create Mr. Bone's wild ride. ;)

Exactly this, I work for a rental entertainment company, this is pretty much it or personal parties, they really are not large theme items, usually fillers. Not to promote my company, but this is a bounce house pretty much...

Well I do kind of agree with you... (On the "It can't be called a theme park ride" statement) It still isn't something I would call out of place in a theme park. Theme parks typically have rides and attractions...

I'd class things like Bounce houses/castles, Haunted houses(The walk through variety), Fun houses, wax museums, staged shows, parades, aquariums, and pretty-much anything you don't ride, as an attraction...

If you want to stretch what Planet coaster was originally designed for (a theme park) and just make an amusement park or carnival, then yes I can see them there. However, at a carnival we would not have the huge coasters that have been made (they would be much, much smaller) and amusement parks would have big coasters, but not quite as large as theme parks (probably due to the smaller park size).
