Dove Enigma UA bombed, preventing completion of its voyage in time for the man it was named for.

I can differentiate real life from a game, but that’s people flying with me are my friends. It may not be much to some of you, but it was a big thing for me.

Don't worry. You have the support of the real Elite gamers... the other so-called "players" of this game are just trolls.

Unbelievable... Fdev is definetely not to blame. Nobody would expect such low behavior. Tbh the responsible UA bomber should be banned.

Has a ticket already been opened? Not sure if they are reading this soon...

FD should have protected it better.

relax let's think about this realistical...

dead_inside humans.

try to see it from the point of view of a 15 year old,

oh, okay, i guess we don't want to take the realistic approach, we just wanna throw insults.

Frontier ultimately didn't "choose to let it be," the decision was taken out of their hands by player action.

That doesn't mean there will be no action at all. See, here's the interesting part:

Edit: Use of a known exploit involving the deliveries of the UAs, not the MAs, if that wasn't clear from the quoted text.
Phew, that’s good news indeed. Now I can take a more relaxed pace on my trip out there. 200 jumps a day is waaaay better than 500.

On that note, anybody know of a good neutron route for a ship with a 22.7 LY jump range? I’m pretty much just going as the crow flies from Maia to Colonia using the in-game route plotter with neutron boosts selected.

Drop down about 900 LY below the galactic plane, once you're about 1.5KLY out. Then replot. Neutrons tend to be in larger numbers, below the galactic plain, so you may be able to shave a number of jumps off if you're in a zone that has higher potential.

On my 2nd UA drop now.

ED EULA said:
7.3 Communication and interaction with other users
7.3.1 The Game and/or Online Features may allow communications between users by means including but not limited to text and voice. When using such features you must use common sense and good manners, your behaviour, conduct and communications must be considerate to other users and you must not be directly or indirectly offensive, threatening, harassing or bullying to others or violate any applicable laws including but not limited to anti-discrimination legislation based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

Can you explain how this would not violate the EULA?

Well that escalated quickly!

I don't like what's going on with this situation in game nor on the forums. You guys need to put down the pitch forks. If anything, this expedition was organized amazingly fast and we can send capable commanders back for the supplies (I see you guys on EDSM, completing the route day 1!)

Can we tune down the venom-spitting and go for the tenacity of mankind angle with this story? This game has taught me I'm insignificant by myself, but we have the numbers to undo this easily. Let's remind everyone the pioneer spirit is steadfast ingenuity!

Thanks, I’ll give that a shot. Any reduction to the 900 or so jumps ahead of me is appreciated. If I can get a good route down I might even do a second run.

Just plot out about 2KLY out, and 1KLY down (so about 30 deg or so); you'll then likely be at a point where you will be able to direct route to Colonia, and at a point where neutrons are vast in number. I'm currently 5KLY out in a 'sploraconda (65 LY, baby) so even if I sprint back tonight, I am unlikely to make it out there before the next weekly tick.

And I'm not sure if the sudden, massive glut of people doing this, won't actually just solve the problem in game this cycle, let alone the next; which is sort of the point, really. Certainly more constructive than "but mom!".

May your neutrons be plentiful, and your AFMU strong.

The burden of proof is on you if you are accusing someone of violating the EULA.

Can you explain how they are violating it? Just doing something the majority of people do not like is not on it's face violative of the EULA.

Because it's within the rules of the game. It's not my fault you're taking it personally.

So you believe this is considerate to others?

You'll note that is one of the rules of the game. I'm not taking it personally at all - merely asking for an explanation about how this fits within the EULA for you.

Was it UA bombed on PS4, XBOX Live, or PC? Was it UA bombed in OPEN, Solo, or PG? If this is a push for one OPEN universe, then it's a poor one because we will never have cross play between platforms and then would have either three separate E:D universes or one that is shared across three platforms (not unlike game modes) that you can't intervene in. It's a silly argument for an open world game when it spans multiple platforms.

Because it's within the rules of the game...
But it's still a crummy thing to do. It's in very poor taste, imo.

I'm actually docked there now; I arrived before the UA bombing. Are MAs available anywhere nearby? I'd deliver some, if it's feasible.

While its pretty sad people would do this, and one has to wonder about their lives and mentality to do this, its no big deal for the expedition itself. They can still dock and if they have gone that far its not like they really need the services.

The expedition will succeed regardless, and all those people who have done this have achieved is to make themselves look like jerks. There again, some people seem to thrive off being a jerk... so, nothing new here.

Technically he's right; DV is coming in here and gloating about working against us. If he wasn't trying to bully, why post? Best to ignore salt miners though; only engorges them.

Maia, or barnacles; both are 22KLY away. They are 5KLY away from me at present as I'm out exploring. I have no chance of getting back to the bubble and out to Colonia within this week's tick. So if it's still dire post tick, I'll drag the cutter out, with a bunch of MA.

Poor taste or not, liked or not, frontier let the BGS define the ship facilities; in a game that presents moral choices, and does so intentionally. Don't get dragged into the sh*tfight. There's no good karma there.
