'many times' - wow.
I have to say, I've never been mugged or assaulted or anything. (thankfully). Maybe I'm just lucky.

OR...
Maybe I just look like a right bad, er, dude... Or I just look like I'm not worth the trouble.

Either way, huzzah I guess. :)

Yer lucky...last time some guy tried to mug me and I was the one who ended up with an assault charge...so much fer the law hmm? And people wonder why I have issues with the law...

I couldnt care less what the rest of the planet thinks of me...busted faded jeans and a hoodie top most the time, though its worse if Im out walking the dogs when I change to old combat fatigues and jack boots. But then I do take the dogs right up into the mountains every day so wearing the sunday best isnt really all that practical.

I dont even own a suit...if I need one, Ill rent it out...funerals and weddings sorta deal.

Impressing women? My girl is beyond gorgeous, absolutely stunning and always very smartly dressed...shes my polar opposite and says Im still stuck in the 90s but she wouldnt wanna change me, so remind me again who Im trying to impress...

Is it always necessary to appear 'smart' particularly in public?

I rarely bother. Lol

Jeans, jacket. Done. Sometimes they're even clean!
With the odd weather, I've also taken to wearing my hiking boots all the time. I don't care.
If I can't be bothered to sort my hair out, I wear a hat. Lol

I only wear suits for interviews, weddings or funerals.

However, I do not wear my pajamas to the supermarket. At least not obviously.
If I need to nip out, I'll chuck jeans over my pajama bottoms, and a jacket over my pajama top, so no one can see (and I'm extra warm. Lol)
