Cool, we can also ditch the extra slot we were given on all ships to fit these in...
No I don’t want the extra slot(s) added to my ships for the SCA and ADC to be removed.New Optional Internal module, a 2E Pilot Assistance Computer, effectively comprised of an Advanced Docking Computer and Supercruise Assist module put into one. It allows pilots to get both functionalities in a single slot, fully utilising that slot.
Right, we will need that slot for the New Auto Jump Pilot, and / or Info Station. No I don’t want the extra slot(s) added to my ships for the SCA and ADC to be removed.
Nobody's explained.New Optional Internal module, a 2E Pilot Assistance Computer, effectively comprised of an Advanced Docking Computer and Supercruise Assist module put into one. It allows pilots to get both functionalities in a single slot, fully utilising that slot.
Why have to choose things that should come standard on all ships ?Nobody's explained.
When these were brought in, we were also given extra slots on ships to cover these.
Limited slots on ships is a gameplay feature making you choose.
Because if every bit of automation that can be imagined was included in the ships thee would be almost nothing to do in the game. Why have to choose things that should come standard on all ships ?
Right, we will need that slot for the New Auto Jump Pilot, and / or Info Station.
Automating the system jump, to follow a route, takes nothing away from the game,Because if every bit of automation that can be imagined was included in the ships thee would be almost nothing to do in the game.
Even if we ignore the issues of automating everything the fact that we cannot build a ship that can do everything means that we have the fun of working out the how to build our ships for what we want to do, it is part of what raises the game above a mere arcade shooter.
Supercruise assist, docking etc should all be stand part of the ship, every ship. One computer should be abdle to do it all. Or ask a Musk decendant in 3307 to create this.New Optional Internal module, a 2E Pilot Assistance Computer, effectively comprised of an Advanced Docking Computer and Supercruise Assist module put into one. It allows pilots to get both functionalities in a single slot, fully utilising that slot.
Fact is ALL modules above what comes with a stock ship, can be called Luxury items. It might sound harsh, but the docking computer is a simple luxury any CMDR can do without. I don't even have trouble landing a Beluga or T10 these days. Yeah, you get the occasional spoiler stuck in the cage but toggling landing gear gets you right out. You can save a module slot by simply not equipping an assist.
Imo what we REALLY need are integral fuel scoops. Ships should come with a fuel scoop that is equal in class, or one class lower, than the class of the fuel tank. Upgrading the fuel scoop would cost the same as fuel scoops do now, but they shouldn't take up space and the class should be capped depending on the size of the ship. 5 for small, 6 for medium and 8 for large.
So you'd be ok with loosing the 2 extra class 1 slots to have the SCA and ADC as standard ship functions? Why have to choose things that should come standard on all ships ?
