Earn up to 24p Per Week with ARX

It's difficult at the moment to judge.
Worst case scenario is that the 400 arx limited per week are also difficult to achieve (you need to play something like 4-5 hours per day, everyday). Then you still need to play the game for 3 month to get a paintjob. It makes 4 paint jobs/year for free for a total value of 12-14 euros.
In my case, that I play the game 1h/day I only achieve a paint job per year so in this case I prefer to buy it directly if I like it... so in my case no change so far.

I still prefer the special day that they removed.
They definitely should pay you more for playing video games! :D

I got a screen of how much was earnt in Adam's session:

so based off an hour's gameplay he made 9 from exploration and 3 from other
Interesting, be curious how close that is to actually numbers when things go live.
Hmm.

More curious to know what ARX prices will be like. Given quite a lot of the paintjob packs are £3.00 and the base ARX purchase is £2.99 for 5000 - then we can perhaps expect a single paint job to be a little under 1000? Maybe just pegged at 1000 for simplicity.. So, two and a half weeks play time at max ARX output for one paint job?... If the above amount per hour is indacative then you need to put in around 44 hours per week in those weeks.

While I'm happy to be able to earn ARX in game and will undouedly eventually earn enough for a paint job I suspect I'd be better off looking for spare change while I'm walking around in terms of effective earning potential. Which, I guess, is fair enough given we've only been able to buy paint jobs up till now :)

Anyway..

Technically Frontier owes you money for playing their game.
Hehe... But. No retrospective payments made as stated in frontiers F&Q page here in the forum. However, a nice gesture for LEP owners would be some complimentary ARX’s. ...To tide us over until end of 2020. 😏

Flimley

I hope this proves to you all that Elite is not special, but just another service game.

No special game exists. Not one with this level of online interaction.

I've been saying this for years.

I couldn't see the live stream could someone make a quick summary?
Tutorial missions are an actual tutorial rather than telling you to do things you don't know how to do.

A few cosmetic changes due to UX feedback.

Livery is available from outside the game.
You can view everything in a showroom kind of environment.

Arx can be bought or earned. 400 arx max a week for earned.

Carrier info in a later livestream.

Replying to myself... Hmm.

As I've seen elsewhere active play time in that stream was more like 30 minutes so maybe call it closer to 20 arx an hour more usually. So perhaps 20 hours a week to max out your in game earning.

Be interesting to know what gets you the arx, not direct time perhaps, so what activity maxes arx earning potential? If for instance you got 1 per stellar body scanned you could acrue them very quickly, so probably not that. One per mission completed?? Hmm.

I'm fine with a max of 400 Arx/week.

It is something for nothing other than just playing, what is there to either complain or be disappointed about, as pointed out above - today we are playing for nothing, byt still playing, in a few days we will 'earn' a contribution to a free cosmetic, win all round I think.

Exactly.

Nobody is losing anything.

It may turn out we're not really gaining anything either, but certainly not losing.

That largely depends on what the new prices are when factored into ARX. If you're on PC, a good rule of thumb is you're going to lose out somewhere along the line, because direct RMT gives you the most direct sense of what something is worth. Putting ARX in the way imposes an extra step in working out the imaginary good : real money value ratio.

Please. Don't play literally any other MMO out there.

You will have a bad time.

Personally, well, I have 350 Crowns sitting in my ESO account for months now. Can't spend them because there's nothing to buy. But I'm not losing sleep over it.

Life will go on, and hopefully, so will Elite.
