I can't speak for the DK2 yet, but I've been playing for 2-3 hours at a time all week on an Oculus HD (like a DK1 with a high res screen) with no ill effects. From everything I've heard the DK2 is even better.

Can anyone do a decent through the lens video of ED?
Seen a couple of videos already but they're always just of the mirrored view which does not reflect how it looks like when you are actually wearing the rift.

Some dude (take this one with a pinch of salt, I don't think he understands things like he is sat too close to the IR camera or frame rate issues which makes me question the rest of his opinions)

Well according to the OR order page I'm still in processing awaiting shipment, and no tracking details yet either....


I do however have a funny box on my desk.

But rest assured as soon as I get my tracking number I'll let you guys know...:rolleyes::D

Holding out...never. I'm just waiting for Oculus to ship out my DK2. I'm all confused as to what the strange box is... :D

Nice one TJ, UPS is awful! Second only to Yodel (IMHO) in the poor carriers stakes. Mine started tracking in the UK on 24/7, estimated delivery 30th, including taking 4 days from Glasgow to Aberdeen. :rolleyes:

Lucky you... enjoy. :) Be sure to gloat (i.e. tell us what it's like!) appropriately in here for those of us still waiting.

wow did you get no warning at all? what about a text from the carrier?

I will need to book a day off work to take delivery of mine, and I am away at the end of the week.

if some yodel monkey does what they normally do and leaves it outside behind my bins it will be a disaster - esp if it is whilst i am away.

I can play for hours ... But I used to with the dk1...
The low persistence and better res really helps take some of the strain away though
