Text is hard to read (more blurred) at the moment in my default seating position. But you can lean in.
This means again it is very hard to compare because it depends on your seated setup. Some users lean back then reset the Oculus view so they always have a slightly zoomed ui view. Others lean in when they want to read something.
Because the image is stretched over your vision you will see the pentile pixels much easier than on a monitor with a similar res.

After a couple of hours testing I find this picture typical of what I'm seeing.
Before I make remarks my camera tracking is not working (AMD Risc set)and F12 don't work. At one point I had slewed sitting 180° out of phase to the in game seat having to look backwards to see the menu.
Judder. A little but no effect to game play
Chromatic Ab. Must be precise in headset positioning to sweatspot.
Gpu use . Less than HD TV (not even lukewarm)
Graphics. Barn door effect, reticule and targeting highlighters kill any graphics on small ships.
Cockpit. Wow
Text. Readable
Scanner. Much much better than hoped (don't need too much as tracking gives more FOV.
FOV. Ample
Questions is the LOD FD create being lost. Having seen on HD 3D TV no detail is lost? Will 4K plus minimal pixel separation be achievable.
TL : DR glad I didn't buy the DK1, DK2 "just" hits it.
