Simply no.
Great rebuttal. Care to elaborate? You have the highest ranks, the best and most expensive ship in the game, with the best fit possible.
What progression is left to make? And note, I said progression, not socializing or trolling.
Simply no.
Well, there most definitely is an end-game. It's called being triple elite in an A-and-engineered Cutter. You have no further progression to make from that point.
Except, there isn't.
There are quite literally billions of places to go, things to do & see, Just like GTA, even when you complete the main storyline (or got to triple Elite) you haven't completed the game.

I think it's not possible because there can be an infinite (or large at least) number of instances in open/group and if 1000 players looking at 20 Missions... how would you distribute the information of already taken mission over multiple instances? And if we assume this were possible, it makes no sense because you wouldn't have time to read the mission text until it was claimed by another player.

Yes. The game has long and far to go.
Go earn your stripes, greenhorn, before you get mouthy about "end game" content![]()
Your focus on getting to Elite and the big ships reflects on your inability to enjoy the rest of the game.
The fact that you're Competent/Broker/Surveyor and not even in the ballpark of having enough money to buy a Cutter and properly outfit much less the rank required in the first place, yet you're sounding off about "end game" content is ridiculous. I'm guessing you don't have much in the way of progress with the engineers, either.

Cutesy emoticons do not make dismissive putdowns less dismissive. Precious little to say about my actual argument, too![]()
What I have to say about your argument is very simple: you lack, by a HUMONGOUS measure, the experience with this game to know what you're talking about.
Oh, almost forgot:![]()

Gotta say I agree completely.. if logoff/logon is an issue to you, then simply don't do it.
And if you Need It Now, Elite is not the game for you, and neither is No Man's Sky.
Perhaps Gerbil Space or whatever it is would fit you better.
Hi Brett,
I have been wondering about this, maybe you have the answer. Are there technical reasons that the mission boards aren't persistent across the modes, or is this done for gameplay reasons to vary the available missions?
… However I do have an issue with nerfing myself while playing in Open, because everyone I know (some 100+ CMDRs) all advise me to mode switch when I can't find and engineering mat. So of course theyre all doing it!
