Hello.
I really like ED, so I created my own Reshade setup to improve graphics, hope you guys enjoy.
Let me know if you have any suggestion, improvement or issues.

This mod uses the latest version of this injector.

DAT BLOOM THO! Looks great! I've been looking around the interwebs to try to find something that will give a little more stylized graphics to the game. I'm not super attached to the whole realism thing, and I just want my game to look like an artists rendition of planet X or nebula Y.

Nice, maybe you can try to install and give me a feedback later.
Take a tour, but near to stars you will need sunglasses. rs [cool]

In 1.0 version, very often DOF effect is blurring the ship UI even when you look straight to a specific panel.

In 1.1 version this was resolved, but if the cockpit is large and the IU interface is far from the seat, sometimes the panel get blurred.

So far, it seems to drop my framerate down about 8-10 FPS. But I haven't noticed any lagging or stuttering. The only thing that I could see that was kinds wonky was that blur/flare effect on the lens from bright light sources in stations, there was one oval spot just above and to the right of the targeting sight that would blur anything that it was over.

Looks hot. Bloom can be tweaked without ReShade for less performance hit, btw.

And err, does your CMDR need glasses or something? ;)

Honnestly ? you should buy some.

WRONG use of blur effect cause text distorsion :

Why use such POOR effect ? To hide something ? For sure.

Hi !
This blur is caused by DOF (Depth of field), when you don't looking straight to a object, it became out of focus. Some people hate this effect in games, i know, I particularly like, DOF mimics the effect of bluring in objects far from the camera focus (behind or ahead the area of focus):

But I confess that this effect need more work inside the cockpit. Every ship in the game has a different cockpit layout and some UI panels are more far from the pilot seat, that's why became out of focus. I figure out to minimize in v1.1. But I will try to solve this to next update ok.

Thanks.

I know that.

This is exactly what i say : unnecessary effect, that turn the game ugly when used in unappropriate moments.

Yes I also have a small (worthwhile) FPS drop in my computer - about 10 frames, because of Ambient Light effect most of all. The game is very well optimized, so if you have a decent computer you shall run the game very above 60 frames, I experienced worst performances on planets, on landings, but if you set the terrain details right, won't be a problem in 1080p. That way, with Reshade active you still get a decent performance, a average 60 FPS, and 54 FPS on planets.

About the light effects, sometimes the Bloom is to intense, I admit, rs. To solve this I can try to do a fine setup in bloom threshold values and decrease the intensity just a little, maybe works.

Anyway thanks for the feedback.

Then dont use it. Moiker offers his time and energy for those who want to, free of charge. Either use it and say 'thank you', modify it and say 'thank you', pay him to care about your preference or just leave it alone already.

I figured out how to configure deep buffer correctly. Unfortunately reshade do not recognize the UI panels, for that reason DOF won't work properly inside the cockpit. I change the DOF method tho solve (minimize) this issue.
