When i try to import data from EDDB it tels me it imports 150903 system and 50692 stations but it only shows me 57 stations and 52 systems even if i turn the filter off, and i selected to show all systems not only visited ones , what iam doing wrong?

EDIT: I tryed to use it with EDMC when i hit the button get market data it collects it but the whole station or system does not show up in my database i dont know why.
when i try to add the CSV file manualy it also does not show up. Dont know why its not working for me

The function of the EDDN import is only for updating
the master data from EDDB dumpfiles - no marketdata will be imported here-never.
You don't need to do this import again.
(btw : bad headline : "EDDN imports" - should be "EDDB imports")

=> Please read the info in point 3 of StarterTips (ok, the headline of point 3 is also admittedly misdirecting)

This kind of import was already done while the first start.
If you do it again with the same files nothing will happen except time wasting.

Conclusion of the screenshot:
You have data of 150903 systems with 50692 stations (names, coords etc - but no market data).
AND you have market data from 57 stations in 52 systems (collected by the eddn interface ?)

The EDDN interface can be found under "Settings"->"EDDN Interface".
But here you can only get the current realtime data - never the historic data from the past.
If you have EDDN recieve active your database will growing not all at once - but continuously.
Thats the price for collecting "private" data.

But the main channel for your very personal secret routes is to self collect the data
from the stations you visit. Get the data with the "market data interface".
This is the data which is unknown in the EDDN - your secret ..

hint: if the "Activate Filter" or "Start Calculation" button is orange
you have changes in your database. It means "your results are not up to date"

hm, try to reduce the possible routes by setting the "only include Stations within" filter to a value like 20ly and check its CheckBox.
Then start the recalculation. The result list of routes is limited to the 50 most profitable. Maybe your station is simply not profitable enough.
When reducing the stations with the "only include Stations within" filter your station should be visible in list.

Another reason can be:
The system you're in is unknown by EDDB and so it has no coordinates. Accordingly there are no possibilities to
calculate the distance to other star system - the system will not be considered.
Solution: add the system to the EDDB (however, I never did this before, too.) and wait for the next dumps from EDDB, download and import them.

In the settings -> Datafilter are two possibilities to consider stations with missing pad sizes or distances to star.
This is another possibiliy why some stations are never shown.

Another possibilty to check if your station is considered in general:
Check if the filter settings are ok (station within/max distance to star/pad size)
and set the "order of entries" to "distance" and activate the filter by pressing "Activate Filter" .
Then go to the "By Station" tab. The entries of the station combobox should be sorted by
distance to your current location. This means your station should be one of the first enties in the list.

  • direct import of EDDB market data is now posssible (who want's)
    - either as "Starters Kit" (all market data in a bubble around 20ly around your current position)
    - or as full import (the whole (!) EDDB database)
  • a few improvements


Furthermore I have updated the starting post of this thread.
ED-IBE is now officially released...

I'm not sure. I can't imagine that the web control from RN was used by much people (?)
...when it will come it will come after the reintegration of the systemview and ocr.
At the moment I do some improvements to the price analysis (for CG's).

Web Control is one of the hallmarks of this software , when it started.. It allows , players to see trades via a Tablet
its either that , or alt tabbing.. please , don't drop this feature .

Can you tell me out right if WEB CONTROL will happen.. I need too know , been waiting ages for this to be placed back in, just don't want too waste my time any further if you have no intent to have web control in 'your' ED-IBE

at the moment is looks like "it will not" !

...at least not in the old way. But I'm doing some tests with an alternative technic to mirror the GUI 1:1.
Looks promising for the moment but I'm still writing and testing ...

Well for me this is the deal breaker ,( been able too access this software via tablet ) not sure about anyone else, but having a third party app I don't have to Alt Tab too use, thus can stay in game , is why I supported this software over all others

...So glad too see your looking at better ways too do this...

This first version ,(alpha-state) gave me a dump file , uploading to Github on the tablet it says ' The connection was reset'

I will check this.
Hints:
* after start of IBE first set the size of it's window how you want so see it - dont resize it after connecting per vnc.
* ibe must not be minimized. leave it run in the background.
* drop downs and buttons not working yet.
* after disconnect you can't reconnect until you have restarted IBE
* I tested this with "Real VNC" vnc viewer on my iPad


@all: and last but not least:

new quick-fix version released : v0.3.2

  • companion IO: fixed crash when previous logged in but profile is not accessible
  • fixed scalar operation on database if returned value is DBNull

Tested this out . VNC tablet screen , wont show the drop down box ,( list of stations systems, Search commodities) and if you click with that 'dot' mouse on the buy filter , that box that opens does not appear on the Tablet either.
Had some crashes of IBE starting up, and IBE not shutting down completely, so other dump files coming ,I'll just load them up here , not sure about the 'issues' and where you want it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qadr0xrupdu6yk7/Crashes ed-ibe-dump-v0_3_2.zip?dl=0



*Side note
Is there a way of allowing IBE , to use Voiceattack ... would , like to say 'ship has docked' and IBE gets the Market data ,or a shortcut key ? , thus allowing the application to remain in background.
Even a button ( You've Docked ) which could be clicked via the Tablet screen, would be handy.
