The community certainly isn't inferior, and Frontier abandoned those too. Try to find the last time a Frontier employee posted in the Xbox forum. I've got all day.Perhaps having a game that is inferior to the Windows version isn't attractive for the Game Pass?
When I transferred from PS to Xbox a couple of years ago I had to have the ID number at the bottom at the start page (I forget what they call it, CID maybe?) to connect the two accounts. If it is all within Frontier I'd still recommend writing that number down before you lose access to it on Gamepass, just in case.correct me if im wrong but isn't the console transfer simply and entirely within Frontier of one account (linked to xbox) to another account (linked to PC) which means access on gamepass is irrelevant, we would just need the frontier account credentials to allow the transfer to take place?
I guess we won't know, is it a matter of Elite not renewing the contract with Gamepass in an attempt to move away from consoles or is it Gamepass not renewing the contract due to no further development?I can't tell if this is an Elite story or a Game Pass story (in regards to "who is to blame?").
Inara also has access to the Frontier ID num if you link accounts there, so that may be enough of a backup as well. When I transferred from PS to Xbox a couple of years ago I had to have the ID number at the bottom at the start page (I forget what they call it, CID maybe?) to connect the two accounts. I feel like there are quite a few questions that we would need answers from Frontier on how this all would work. If your account is through Gamepass you haven't really bought the license to the game, so why would they give us a free PC license? So then, do you have to pay the $30 to buy the game to have the license, then transfer to PC next month when they offer transfers? To me, that seems to be the most likely scenario if you're transferring to PC. If I don't buy the game after it's off Gamepass is my FID no longer active and eligible for a transfer (until I buy the game)? I don't know, all questions for Frontier to answer, but as someone else mentioned, the Xbox forum seems to have been ghosted by the CM's.FYI: the FID number on the xbox client (7 alphanumerical) load screen is NOT the same as the linked Frontier ID number (7 numerals) as reported by Inara.
The most players does'nt know it. (includes me)FYI: the FID number on the xbox client (7 alphanumerical) load screen is NOT the same as the linked Frontier ID number (7 numerals) as reported by Inara.
I am playing Elite Dangerous on Xbox Gamepass. Will I be able to copy my Commander to PC and play there?
The process will recognise and copy across valid game licences. If you have not purchased Elite Dangerous on Xbox, you will be able to Copy your save to a new PC account, but will not have a licence to copy across; which means that you will need to purchase the game on PC to be able to launch Elite and access the copied profile.
If you are copying your Game Pass profile to an existing PC account that has a licence for Horizons/Odyssey; those licences are retained and you will be able to continue playing with the console profile on PC.
Yes, that happened in the macOS forum. Until the 'with a heavy heart' post of course. The community certainly isn't inferior, and Frontier abandoned those too. Try to find the last time a Frontier employee posted in the Xbox forum. I've got all day.
Yeah it's realy heartwarming to see how much the console community means to them. The community certainly isn't inferior, and Frontier abandoned those too. Try to find the last time a Frontier employee posted in the Xbox forum. I've got all day.
