Hey Skypat, is there a way to change the SCROLL LOCK hotkey to something else? I couldn't find that one in hotkeys.ini ...

I just installed EDFX and ran it. Seems to handle GemFX automatically, so you don't have to do any uninstalling.


I have a question regarding EDFX though; how do you take a screenshot with the effects applied? Just printscreen and paste into paint?

Did somebody manage to make ReShade work with Elite 1.3.8? In my case the screen just turns black for 5 minutes at startup and ends with a crash.

if you are talking about GemFX, sound like you have EDFX 1.x version. latest EDFX 2.1 version is ReShade Framework based

Skypat: Your EDfx has evolved nicely. I haven't been playing for a long time and yesterday I installed EDFX on my new machine. I have to say that you have managed to make bullet proof installation. Everything is automated or well explained. Congrats for the great work. EDFX 2.2 sneak peak stars look really nice. Is there some new technique in 2.2 or new effects?

I can't find the file EliteDangerous32.exe anywhere!! Even can't find the path displayed in the program two posts above!! There isn't a folder called Products in the folder EDLaunch. What am I missing here?

OH, forget it!!! I found it!!! :D

i updated 2.1 profiles in upcoming 2.2 and it should increase FPS drastically with same visual effects (ie for my config: from 65 in 3440*1400 to 80 fps with same ingame settings)
this is not a rules, il may be completely different for each user
taka a look at my precedent post, you will see a new EDFX feature which allow to choose between lots of graphics settings options to override profiles or to add others effects.
For each settings, several mode i done myself so user can't break his visual Xperience :)

heathaze in 2.1 or 2.2 is a heathaze shader in McFX library, not same as bloom at all but it need GemFX ambient light activated to work properly, if not, all screen is shimmering/moving.
just a tips if you use your own profile with EDFX or manually

Insomnia, if you are interested to release to public your latest profile and so for EDFX utility users, i can include it as 3rd party profile in upcoming EDFX release with full credits to you(in Profile name)
use my email in EDFX readme.txt file
as you want :)
