Guys be warned. This is programs, even though not intended for hacking, are injectors. Multiplying games with anti hack measures can detect this programs as hacks and can get you banned. This programs can also corrupt your files and being that ED saves on servers you can seriously messed them up and have to restart again. Be warned
Presets, as far as I'm concerned, are just examples and starting points to let you see how settings affect things. My current settings make the game "feel" more like being out in space - dark and foreboding), but starting with something wild will at least let you know the thing is working.
Fair enough, can you post some screenshots of what your settings look like?
Especially inside an asteroid field is important to me
And do you know what settings I should change to make sure the stars stay bright, but the asteroid fields are darker etc?

Cheers, I'm hoping for a setting that will keep the stars and nebulas as bright and colorful as they are with the original settings, but get the asteroid belts nice and gloomy, with the dust being that nice brown instead of white-ish blue
Now I'm scared.

P.S.: I'm joking, there has to be a developer communication, if external apps or exe can't be used. In this case, I think that all the trading based apps that are around this forum are not doable. Don't worry for that, only the devs can tell you that you can't use external programs.

I have never had ANY issues with ANY games, and I feel no compelling reason to remove it. It does nothing to game data; all it does is alter some of the graphics properties going through the video adapter on the way to my monitor. If for some reason it's flagged by a game developer as a hack and I get banned, I'll write them a letter to explain it. If they still decide to ban me, I can live without playing their game.
As I wrote above, there are cases of games that absolutely don't admit third party apps or exes. The first that comes in my mind is Diablo 3. But this is specified in the EULA. I don't think E: D is the same case.

This is ridiculous.I'm using SweetFX and similar injectors for years. None of them are changing game files, if that was the case none will use them. Or to get banned because you want the game to be more blue, come on this is insane. Tons of people play Battlefield with SweetFX for god sake and none of them is banned because of it.

Banning has happened in the past because SweetFX was falsely accused of being used to hack Planetside 2 and incompetent game operators fell for it. Requests to deliver proof that SweetFX can indeed be used to cheat have yet to be met with a single answer. MMO operators may still ban users for SweetFX with the shady argument that it changes gameplay experience. That much is true. But besides Planetside 2, there were no such events.
(Save) file corruption is entirely out of question as SweetFX only affects the graphics output and nothing else. It does this via a mechanism implemented and supported by Microsoft since at least DirectX 8.

I know and I'm with you man. I'm using your config (and now the Reshades Too) since the day you opened this thread... I repeat myself, there are games where you can't absolutely use external programs, but E: D is not the case. Only a Dev can say that I'm wrong, but, there are apps that do all for you in this forum, expecially on the trading side of the game (I have only now to see one of them that drives my ship in a rare goods trade ruote, and Im full... Why we play games if we have only to look at the screen... is better go to the cinema, at this point
