ED without gankers is..

Buy a PS4. I assure you, there's been ganking this week in Eravate. One gankee is even considering a switch to Z0Z0 after our nice post murder chat.

Also Yamiks is ganking in the n00b safe space on stream. True story. Ganking is alive and well.

As far as those taking a real PvP break, the power priorities reset bug is actually at least as great a cause of this as drag. As far as ganking, no one is taking a break due to drag or power priorities or anything b/c as always it's too easy. Probs just coincidence you happened to be on at the wrong time.
PS4 gank squads gravitate around Engineers. For obvious reasons, the n00b safe zone is only fun for about an hour (as you get kicked out for too much aggression). While I agree, ganking is alive and well... The "old Starter Systems"c are not where it takes place, as most new players never see them anymore... unless they die without rebuy! Nice to see you still around Ferralligator!

I was killed by a Cmdr for the first time ever, yesterday. I exclusively play in Open and always wondered why no one ever bothered to kill me.

My only complaint is that he didn’t say a word, just boom, I’m dead. Kind of took all the fun out of it.

Boring. We patrolled Eravate last night for about an hour during prime gank time. Nada. Where was everybody?

In a different instance. You said "we". Gankers are such losers that they usually only fly in wings of 3 or 4 and attack lone non-combatants. Due to the lame aft instancing limitations, it's unlikely several wings are in the same instance. So even if they are in the same system, they'll be instanced with the said lone non-combatants and gank to their sad little hearts' content without ever facing the white knights.

What sucks is when you become friends with the ganker because after hours of nothingness you both feel that the interaction was the best thing since sliced bread. This has happened to me way too many times.

My friends list is filling up with people who tried to kill me....

My favorite is when I ask a Commander a very clear question and get a "smart" non-answer in return.

Depending on the context I'll try to rebuy you just on principle!

Ha

Yeah. I’m well aware I’m the hare in this game with my current ships. I’ve been asked my business a few times and thought it best to give clear straight-forward answers.

It’s worked out for me so far.

I did have one guy get pretty touchy because I took a long time to answer. Well, if I’m docked or in the middle of entering or exiting it’s just possible I haven’t noticed your message yet. In this case I was busy in the menu. The more you know. ;)

I’m working on a combat build as I can. I’m still more motivated towards cooperative goals so I would find it fun to PvP in combat zones and the like more than just attacking randoms but I’ll get into the PvP soon I think. It’s not ready yet but it’s serving me well in the RES zones and I’m getting ready to get into CZs.

I go much further, posting detailed warning about how I'll destroy their ships if they don't comply & various other Zarek propaganda to docked ships, etc.

When ganking I always send at least one and usually three comms before I attack. And just in case there is a language barrier I always make the final comms very very simple such as "HALT OR I FIRE" or even just "STOP".

Maybe 1/10 pilots reply. Even after I've beat them up to low hull and stop firing to try comms one last time.

I really wonder why some people bother playing in Open at all. I realize I'm not everyone's favorite interaction, but if you're going to just act as if comms don't exist why not just play solo? Maybe some new players don't realize comms are a thing but I find it's pretty common even outside noob areas.
I love combating this gameplay by "pirating' players and killing them if they comply.

If I interdict you, resist me or I will kill you.

Don't like a rebuy? Well fight me and don't ever just let me rob you like that, fight for your hard earned stuff that I have no right to steal

Sounds like you should stay in your saltine-cracker-paved lane and let Mexican food be its authenticly spicy self.

And yes, there is an Elite modes analogy in here.
Only indian food should be like lava.

Mexican food is better if I can taste the food and not the heat plx

Although i agree with you, just because someone is "wanted" doesn't mean they have been "ganking". You might be the ganker.
