I've installed version 2.0.6. and now voice attack crashes almost immediately when I launche ED (after 2 or 3 min). No troubles before the update. Any advice? I have installed the Beta version 1.5.12.31 of VA.

Thanks

There's something a bit odd going on with the Windows voices (are you using the Windows voices?). I'm trying to track it down, but in the meantime try checking the "Disable phonetic speech" box in EDDI's "Text-to-speech" tab and restarting to see if that works.

So far so good!! thanks

I'm still messing around with Galnet articles. Is there a way to 'request' the events instead of just the push from the RSS feed when a new one arrives? I would like to be able to call the events with a VA command and then manipulate them.

What IS the best way to listen to the latest galnet that others use?

I use EDToolbox in conjunction with some VoiceAttack macros (which I actually access via keyboard rather than spoken commands). So I press F3 to find out if any new Galnet articles have been published and then F4 to get each new article read out to me.

Hi,

I just instaled EDDI 2 with Voice Attack , a and for an obscure reason when i stat VoiceAttack I got the message "plung in support enabled" but nothing more.
And the Eddy file is in D:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceAttack\Apps and Voice Attack take Apps on the same file...

What version of VoiceAttack are you using? You need to have at least 1.5.12.22, which is the latest beta version.

Ho , i get the latest standard version , not the Beta, i just installed v1.5.12.31 and its work perfectly.
this plugin is amazing.

Thx a lot

just a little uptade, when i fly to a systeme, Eddi always say me the systeme is uninhabited but there are stations doc

Well then! New version seems to have a addressed whatever was killing poor EDDI for me.

So far, so great! All previous options enabled (Companion App, Galnet monitor, Journal monitor, Netlog monitor, EDDN responder, EDSM responder and of course Speech responder) and no crashes or blatant failures.

However, it no longer seems be announcing station landing pad locations, nor does it announce the stats for the destination system during jump.

For me, these are not game stoppers, but their absence is noticeable after the previous pleasant surprise hearing those particular announcements the first time.

EDIT: On a whim, I restarted EDDI because I realized I'd enabled EDDN and EDSM responders mid-flight. Um wow. Okay so I lied, it was waiting to announce everything, and is now proceeding to announce each and every hop I've committed on this run today, so about 20 systems lol! So this is what it's like when EDDI gets... erm.. backlogged? :D

System is Windows 10 64-bit, logfile is included in the spoiler.

That error suggests that you are missing some DirectX components, although I don't have enough info on DirectX to be able to help you to fix that. You could try to reinstall DirectX and see if that helps.

It's not announcing landing pad locations for me either. Even more confusingly it actually has read it once or twice since updating to 2.0.6 but the vast majority of the time it doesn't.
I tried debugging it by adding "Model of station is {station.model}" to 'Docking Granted' and so far it's has always been empty... I also tried adding {event.station} and that get read out correctly. The log does not look to have any information of worth regarding this...

I'll add in a recent error that started today after 2.0.6. No systems have population now upon jumping to a new system. I've added a call to the 'System Status' function in my 'Location' function to see if it would read the correct data (stations, population, etc) and it does not. The system name is correct but the rest is not.

I don't see anything different between 'DataProviderService:GetSystemData' function calls that are listed in the .log file between yesterday and today.

Also, I'm using your default 'Jumping' function.

Other info: I thought maybe the calls to eDDB were not going through or returning 'null' data. Maybe whatever pipeline runs between EDDB and EDDI? My EDSM is still updating correctly as I jump.

What I was able to find out was that some component referred to in the error links to a file called resampledmo.dll.

http://windowrdb.com/w.php?w=hkcr-clsid-f447b69e-1884-4a7e-8055-346f74d6edb3

It seems to be a file that does not exist on my windows install, but I can't figure out what piece of software might install this. It seems to be for resampling audio. It appears in some people's dxdiag output under Media Foundation Transforms. This led the search to Windows Media Foundation which is part of the Windows Media Feature Pack. That's not included by default in my version of windows, but installing both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions hasn't provided the DLL so far. As for directx, since it's an integral component of windows 10 there are no ways to "reinstall" it that I could find even after a lot of googling...

i have tried to install 2.0.6 several times. A couple times using the EXE and a couple times by uninstalling the EDDI Folder and reinstalling it. VA keeps saying I have 1.4.0 and not the 2.0.6 version. Am i downloading EDDI from the wrong location?

Do you use the Link from the first Posting of this Thread ? https://www.mcdee.net/elite/EDDI.exe this one ?

@jgm
Are there Events when you are interdicted ? can't find them in the docu files. If not can you add them ?

i would like to test run a few things.. and instead of waiting if something happens in the game, i would like to feed an old Logfile, is there some kind of Debug mode to do this ?

and last, what Compiler do you use ? the C# Compiler i use, can't open your repository, maybe i'm only missing a plugin, but i'm not sure which

//Aunt Edith want to say something, too
can you please add the version number in the installer ? It's a little confusing to know only after you installed if it was the correct version

There are "Ship interdicted" and "Ship interdiction" events.

No way at current to feed old logfiles, it would cause problems with things like the EDSM and EDDN responders (and probably the rest of them as well). EDDI is designed to be realtime.

I use VisualStudio 2015 community edition.

I'll take a look at adding the version to the installer.

Yet another "I can't get EDDI to work with VA" posting.

I nuked EDDI 1 from my system and installed EDDI 2 in the proper directory.
I have downloaded the latest BETA version of VA. My current VA build is v1.5.12.31 (prerelease)
I have imported the EDDI.vap into VA.

And I've gone through all 24 pages in this tread looking for something I've missed.
Yet, I still don't get any plugin initialized notification.

Can anyone help?

i Ran the link you posted and it version 2.0.6 now. But now VA says "star system report" is unrecognized, same as "system status". EDDI does not say EDDI INITIATED now, but only says Plugin Support ENABLED. It seems the profile is missing something. Before there were 3 sections in VA for EDDI and now there are only 2 - "EDDI" and "EDDI INFORMATION" I can not remember what the other section was in the older version. Sorry I can not provide much more information than that since Im not really familiar with this stuff. ohhh yeah... VA is v.1.5.12 - maybe that is the reason? It is not the VA beta?
