I'm still using EDDI 1.4 (I don't have the time to install the new version yet) but today it's stopped working. Is that deliberate or is the database been down all day?

Nope, it doesn't. I get:

What I do is open notepad, make that the active window and then try saying "Damage Report" and, in my case, EDDI responds with a damage report.

I use this method to test the custom commands I create all the time and it works for me, just as an FYI

Edit: you also said you started Eddi and after that you started VA. Did you close Eddi again before starting VA or is it still running. It's better not to run Eddi (standalone app) and VA simultaneously I think.

Yup, closed EDDI before launching VA, have never had both running at the same time.

I *really* appreciate your help with this, it's definitely been frustrating as the one night it worked perfectly I thought it was just fantastic and I want it back!!

I'm also having problems with the VA integration. The plugin doesn't appear to be receiving commands from VA. All the automated stuff is working (EDDI talks when I jump between systems etc.) but when I issue a command like "Ship Report" to VA, nothing happens. I confirmed that VA is loading the plugin, and I'm using the default EDDI profile.

Actually it looks like it is receiving commands, as "Show the current station in E D D B" works... just none of the commands that are supposed to have EDDI respond with voice. I did test VA's audio with a regular TTS command and it's working. EDDI also says goodbye when closing VA.

Have you all tried disabling SSML on the speech integrator page in EDDI 2.06?

In the EDDI script I can get the station.economies array variable to read out 0,Industrial by using {dump station.economies}. (The station only has one economy of Industrial). Is there a way to read out the contents of the station.economies variable with out the leading 0?

In voice attack there are two variables, last station primary economy and last station secondary economy that work. I'm trying to move the script over to EDDI because the VA variable last station allegiance doesn't seem to work anymore in voice attack.

TL/DR How do I have EDDI readout the contents of the variable arrays?

And BINGO, all fixed! The fix was installing the latest beta of Voice Attack. I was using a higher version that was listed but apparently that's too old at this point. So now it's all back to normal and I'm loving life again!

i was just going to suggest upgrading to the beta, as I was having the same issue earlier this evening until I installed beta & now, like you, I'm a happy camper !
Tomorrow I'll probably start pondering adding some extra scripts for no reason other than because I can :D

Is it possible in EDDI to report a CMDR's given reputation with system factions when entering or perhaps traversing a given system?

I am curious how to determine which systems I have favorable rep with given factions in those systems. Additionally, which ports those favorable factions reside.

As soon as i appear in Starport (currently Obsidian Orbital - Maia) VA crashes - I think it when it calls Last Location event but can't be sure

Ive tried loading a vap profile that has no reference to EDDI scripts and it still happens? I am at a loss and feel its a bug.

Can anyone help?

Have you upgraded VA to the latest beta version? If so have you tried uninstalling both VA and EDDI? Make sure you fully uninstall them by removing the data in your user profile so it's completely gone, then reinstall both. If you have custom commands in your VA profile you can export those so you can restore them after the installs.

Hello cmdrs! I gota question! Is VA or EDDI able to controle the "free look" command in ED? I have a Hotas X and need to press two buttons to free my look in game and i have found none direct keybind to free look in game! Would be awesome to get a voice command to free my look and streamline the battles! Thanks!

Free look can be set to a key in Elite Dangerous bindings. You can set to be a toggle or a hold. In Voice Attack you can then create a command to send this key.

My EDDI and Voice Attack Profiles

I use the Verity HCS voice pack. I use Voice attack to send all of my key presses to ED. I have setup the voice attack profile to respond to joystick presses as well as voice prompts.

In voice attack I call EDDI Speech responders to read out information.

Here is a you tube video of some of what I had setup in EDDI 1 and voice attack. I've got just about all of this working in EDDI 2.

I had problems with EDDI voice attack variables not getting set in EDDI 2, so I recreated many of the orginal scripts in the EDDI voice responder.
