That's the first place I looked. In the EDDI.vap I don't see a configure EDDI command. I just re-downloaded and installed to verify. It's still not there.

Have you upgraded VA to the latest beta version? If so have you tried uninstalling both VA and EDDI? Make sure you fully uninstall them by removing the data in your user profile so it's completely gone, then reinstall both. If you have custom commands in your VA profile you can export those so you can restore them after the installs.

Thanks for this,

I completely nuked all instances of VA including Program(x86) folders and EDDI. Reinstalled new patch EDDI and VA and it now works a treat.

I would recommend this to anyone wh has VA crash issues. Littlerally wipe all instances and start again.

Thanks all [up]

Is it just me, or does EDDI 2.0.7 not run? It seems to install just fine, but it won't run.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling 2.0.7 several times and still nothing.
With EDDI 2.0.6 everything worked great.

OK I managed to get it to work. But to do that, I had to manually delete the %appdata% again. I thought that was no longer required with EDDI 2.

EDDI is Taking ~20 seconds before making any type of announcement. TCE, EDDiscovery and EDMC I turned off just in case there was some kind of read lock going on, but the delay in responses is the same. Doesn't matter if it's stand alone app or via VA. Latest Beta Installed: v1.5.12.32.

My system is quite powerful: i5 6600k at 4.5 GHz with a 1080 and 16 GB ram and SSD drives.

This has been happening since I started using version 2, but as no one else has reported it I thought I'd got something wrong at my end, but after trying turning other stuff off I've failed to identify what the problem is.

Thank you very much! This plugin is awesome!

Is there anyway to reload/refresh the ship variable?
Scenario: I'm switching to either - a SRV or SLF and leave the current game session. When reloading the session and entering my mother ship, EDDI still "thinks" I'm currently in the fighter or srv. Thus, when jumping to another system, EDDI announces it with your "SRV"/"Ship launched fighter" has jumped to....

Cheers keep it up:)

I'm waiting for version 4.0 , all the kinks and ED bugs should be worked out by then and with some luck ,storage should be happening by then too..

I've noticed the same thing. When exiting the game while in the SRV and then restarting the game and jumping to systems Eddi tells me i'm still in a "Testbuggy". Changing back and fort to another ship while docked solves it but that means you have to be at a station with a stored ship.
I've tried with the new "profile" command (VA) but that didn't work.

@jgm: My profile command looks like this. Is this the way to use the profile command ? And should this work to have the correct ship information again or is there another solution ?

Just noticed yesterday that EDDI now repeats everything from chat also. Its very hilarious as i do chat in my native language, finnish. Best laughs ever.. :D

Hi, How would I go about doing a response script for a key press.

Example 1.... Press key "v" msg reads Heat sink launched
-
Example 2.... Press key "v" msg reds Either "heat sink launched" or "cooling activated"
-
Just a side note, on V 2.07 the response seems "Slower" example jump to another system, Telemetry obtained
seems to take longer to come up, in fact I have sometimes arrived first !
-
When launching you can have Limpet check.
How about Srv, Heat sink ammo and fighter check ? (Pretty please)
-
The reload bar is so small for the heat sinks I keep forgetting to rearm
Thank you :)

Hello guys'n girls =),

I was testing EDDI 2 for about two weeks now without voiceattack on my Windows 10 Pro 64Bit System. All went fine, I can just say I am a fan of this little chatty tool. But since yesterday EDDI just left me. It did'nt leave a note nor some other explanations.

Problem: Since 05.11.2016 EDDI2 (2.07) isn't starting when I click it. Reinstalling, Cleaning the Registry before and restarting the system didn't work out.

Please help me! I am shocked and desperate. EDDI left a big black hole in my heart an I am not sure if I can go on without it :(.

Sincerly

For those of you experiencing issues with EDDI starting up: I've found an odd issue in the companion API where it returns "Profile unavailable" as opposed to the usual JSON. It appears that the only way to fix this at the moment is to log back in to the companion API, which appears to kick the system.

To do this shut down EDDI and remove the %APPDATA%\EDDI\credentials.json file then restart EDDI and log in through the 'companion app' tab. It should then start behaving again.

EDDI 2.0.8 will attempt to do this automatically.

Hey I love this app and it worked fine for me untill I decided, that I'd like to try some other voices apart from Anna. However, after I installed new ones suddenly EDDI stopped working and I do not get any voice outputs anymore. I tried reinstalling and cleaning the appdata folder but no success. Everywhere else i can use the new voices. If it helps, I'm running win7 64b. Hope someone might be able to help^^

This might be a real pain in the hind, but I figured I would throw it out there.

What about the ability to use more than one voice?
That way our on board AI assistant (primary voice, or voice A) can get on with the task of running the ship, and the AI's little companion (secondary voice, or voice B) can do things like read incoming messages.
I was just thinking it would give an audible separation between things I need to hear for ship management, and things which I don't really need to pay much attention to.

Once again, I can't thank you enough for the time and effort you have put into this amazing app.

If you're using VoiceAttack and have more than one TTS voice installed you can already do this. I have two Ivona voices (Amy and Emma) and use Amy for my own TTS commands and Emma as my Eddi-voice.

How do you do that?

Currently my set up has Eddi voice that still thinks she's damaged. I think I need the profile reset jgm was talking about.

The other works for ship commands but I don't know how they've been allocated.

In Eddi I've set Emma as my TTS voice in the Text to Speech tab (I personally don't like the damaged sound so I've put the distortion to zero)

In VA when making a TTS command you can pick the voice you want to use so I pick Amy (in fact I choose default since I made Amy my default voice)

Fantastic Tool this! many thanks for all your effort!

I only wish i could spend the time learning how to make the most of it

Is there an easy way it can tell you whether the system has already been discovered or not when you jump in?

Regards
