The journal has a RedeemVoucher event, but at the moment it doesn't provide any information about the faction for which the redemption occurs so it's no use as a bounty tracker. FD have this on their list to look at, so perhaps come 2.3 it will be useful.

But would this event be able to track just a generic bounty turn in? I'm not tracking factions, just the fact that I have a bounty/bond to redeem. It seems that the redeem voucher event would trigger when the bounty/bond is redeemed. That way I could use this to clear the tracking variable I use.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'drop zone'. There is an event when you leave supercruise, and there is an event when you enter a station's no-fire zone. Are you after something different?

OK, i see on englilsh its called the "safe disengage" zone mark when you are in supercruise in range of 1000 KM to your targered station. I need an event on this so that VA can automatically leave the supercruise.
Hope this explains better.

Okay, I understand. There is no information generated by Elite for this, unfortunately, so no event in EDDI.

First is this single thread to best/only place to discuss issues and features around EDDI? Does forum etiquette say we shouldn't have separate posts about the same app, condensing them into a single thread? With this thread at 91 pages and growing that's got to mean many are missing much of the conversation contained within. Is there a dedicated EDDI forum somewhere? Should I/we be using GitHub for feature requests/questions?

Okay on to my question - about the Shipyard feature if I may. I LOVE that you can click export and take a ships build, including all engineering mods and export that to Corolios. I'm pretty sure this is a very overlooked feature as I've been using EDDI for several months now and only saw/realized it recently. Then again I'm very slow and can barely understand how to open my laptop!

I'm wondering how you obtain that ship build data. As I understand it that's not contained in the local logs so I assume this is one of the reasons you ask for the users Frontier account so you can effectively log in and read the ship information using that. I'm sorta hoping that isn't the case as I'm trying to help out the developer of EDEngineering with something sorta similar but we both don't want to have to ask for the users login information.

Any direction you can provide would be most helpful.

The only way to obtain the detailed ship information directly is through the server-based API, so you need the Elite credentials. That said, it might be possible for EDEngineer to use information from EDDI by writing a responder that passes ship changes from EDDI to EDEngineer.

Well, the basic on this is jgm is the man who writes this and his best to keep us ungrateful whelps in line and satisfied.
If you want to make a suggestion or have ideas you would be fastest posting here.
Scripting can go here or the VoiceAttack OR the HCS VoicePack websites
If you want you can get the update and support papers at GitHub but questions, suggestions and requests generally do better in here because it may have already be suggested, and we all get better input on it.
I believe ship data is save to https://coriolis.io/ but optained from the Elite API
The login game account data is the API that won't send API data about a player without it.
The EDSM logs ALSO need a API Key which is for THEIR API and not the game API.

My shipyard in EDDI disappeared. Any ideas why and how I can get it back?

If the shipyard isn't there it's probably because you don't have a proper connection to the Frontier API. It might be a temporary thing or it might have logged you out. Check the companion app tab to see if you need to log in again.

Alternatively, the shipyard file might have been corrupted. If you are logged in to the companion app and the shipyard still isn't showing you can edit %APPDATA%\EDDI\ships.json and see if there is an obvious error. Worst case, you can delete that file and rerun EDDI to re-obtain the data.

jgm,

Would you please add the 'StartLanded' boolean to the 'Commander Continued' (a.k.a. LoadGame) event in your next update?

Currently, one way for a VoiceAttack profile to 'know' that you are landed (and not docked at a planetary station) is via the ((EDDI touchdown)) event, following the ((EDDI commander continued)) and ((EDDI location)) events.

Unfortunately, a Journal 'Touchdown' timestamp is not generated, upon game load-up, when an SRV is (was) deployed... hence, no ((EDDI touchdown)) event.

Now, from {BOOL:EDDI location docked} = False and {TXT:Vehicle} = "SRV", it can be inferred that the ship is landed, but a {BOOL:EDDI commander continued landed} = True would be a more direct statement.

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that this would also allow determination of whether ship was previously dismissed with SRV deployed, upon game load-up... From what I can see from the Journal Manual, there's no other way to to that.

I probably asked this some time ago, but perhaps the post above could have something to do with it, too:
When been planetside in an SRV, after boarding it recognises the ship no more, stating 'your test buggy' on jumping etc.
Anything that could be done to this? Or is it a journal prob.?

Yes this is on the list of things to look at. I'm not sure how easy it is to work out which ship you get in to if you start in a fighter or buggy; need to take a closer look.
