EDDiscovery

Seems I have hit a funny bug in EDDiscovery. Looking through my flight map on EDSM it appears I have made a jump halfway across the galaxy, the following are two consecutive star systems in my flight log

Rosette Sector GB-X c1-9, 2375.09, -153.56, -4771.56

Hypuae Briae TL-R c19-454, 486.56, 498.91, 35621.28.

Followed by

Hypuae Briae WZ-P e5-77, 592.22, 500.25, 35785.03

And back to

Rosette Sector GB-X c1-9, 2375.09, -153.56, -4771.56

So a round trip of some 40,000ly in three jumps.

Checking through the EDDiscovery app the data appears to match with what is shown in EDSM, but I have never been out that way.

It's obviously wrong and makes my travel map look silly, should I just delete them from the logs at EDSM or can I do something to help fix an issue.

I have something similar in my map. i suspect it was when I first tried to play around with trilateration & did something wrong. I was told to delete the incorrect data in both EDD and the ED logs

(edit: still havent got around to doing so!)

Never did any trilateration, not sure how they can be duplicate system names but I suppose it's possible. I was in Rosette sector at the time and can't recall seeing any funny star names, oh well maybe I will just go through one day and delete the dodgy data, not a priority, it just looks....funny.

You can filter your own jump history by date range, but you cannot filter all other stars by discovery date.
All stars are either on or off.

Hi Guys, did I miss something? New version 8.4.1.0 doesn't show the "Trialteration" tab anymore.

We've made the tab strip configurable. Right click on one of the tabs that's there and pick 'Insert Tab With Panel' and pick 'Trilateration...' You can left click and drag to re-order as well.

(It's also available as a pop out control as well now)

Hi, love EDD. BEST APP.

The new indicators for terraformability are GREAT! Thank you, also seeing the habitable zone without needing to click will probably save me a few AFMU refills (crash in to sun when ED window is inactive haaha).

Regarding volcanism, does this indicate I can find volcanism on the surface of a landable planet? Silly question(!)

Also what is the green chequered flag symbolising?

Elsewhere is there a way to get excel dump of system exploration values? I can get individual body values, but the excel code to convert to systems so far eludes my limited ability.

Thank you all of you who make EDD, honestly it transforms how I play Elite and I couldn't face the game without it.

Yeah, that's what I am also afraid of .. it becomes a habit and commodity.. very soon I would not be able to play without it :)

I need four monitors.. no way around it [yesnod]

Running EDD 8.4.1.0 & there seems to be an error in the Exploration pop up. I'm at Heheng & just tried three times to pull in a list of systems around Lave but it's giving me the sphere around current system instead

My Oculus is gathering dust because I kept lifting it up to view EDD :)

Hehehe.. exactly.. I am not a fighter at all, so I do not play VR.. well that's my personal opinion that VR is good actually only for dog fights.. For exploration - 3 displays.. all curved ;)

I think since I installed 8.4.1 my nearest stars window has duplicated entries like so:

Not currently, no.

Working fine for me - can you provide more precise reproduction steps?

Pulled up an Exploration pop out
pressed button for import sphere
entered Lave in dialog
entered 30.00 in radius dialog
pressed enter
got list of systems, but the distance to Heheng was zero while distance to Lave was 8.45

happened 3 times. PC is off but I’ll retry again later today. Maybe it just had a funny moment

edit: after I spotted this I double checked & confirmed that I wasn’t having a funny moment & hitting the current system button by mistake!

Edit: just repeated - I'm now in Socanti, repeated the steps above for Lave, got a list of systems with distance to Socanti=0.0 & distance to Lave = 11.58.

Tried as an alternative pressing the curent system button- it correctly inserts Socanti & gets all systems within 30 ly of here. Then tried Lave again & get exactly the same systems pulled in centred on Socanti.
