I am running Ver 8.3.2.0. Ver 8.3.3.0 is not available in portable version.

I have started to get duplicate FSD Jump entries in the History Grid. I have just changed my CMDR name and so have two commander names in my list, it may have coincided with this, I'm not sure, but there is an item in the Admin menu to Remove Duplicate FSD Jump entries, so I am thinking it's known problem.

Is there any way to prevent the duplication occurring?

8.3.3 Portable
is available. There was a small error initially when 8.3.3 was deployed. Finwen fixed that quickly and uploaded 8.3.3 Portable.

3 is the answer to 1. If you register with EDSM you can get an API key that you can add to EDD. Your flight logs will then be loaded (up to you whether to make those publicly visible in the settings for your EDSM account) and EDD will synchronise them across the two machines. However, you will not get non-travel journals synced that way. To sync everything you'd need to copy the database (\AppData\Local\EDDiscovery\EDDUser.sqlite) between the databases. Other people have downloaded the Portable version - which keeps the databases in the program directory - and installed it to a USB stick and then run it off that on both machines to keep them in sync.

I'm not sure what you mean by 2?

If you use EDDB then if you enable sending scans to EDDN in EDDiscovery you'll be contributing to it to :)

Check out the wiki on our github page (link in my sig and the in-app help menu) for more documentation.

One way I found to filter systems out that are NOT in the EDSM, is to simply compare the "List of Nearby Systems" (little star icon) to the list on your ship's nav panel.

\\///
Oo?

Spike.k

5 tons of fuel at a time.

You can also save that list for future reference.

1. Bring up the Exploration panel.
2. Click "New" and supply a name
3. Click "Import Sphere" and supply a radius.
4. Click "Save".

Now you have a list of all the nearby systems that are in EDSM.

Greetings, I need advice/info for: I'm using EDDiscovery on my second PC and have there transferred whole screenshot folder. But images there were converted into *.jpg, file name remains the same, i.e. Screenshot_xxxx. Exist some way how to set EDDisc for displaying these converted jpg screenshots?

I have set .jpg in settings/Screenshots, but it does nothing:

EDDis01.png

EDDis02.png

p.s.: Screenshots are displayed if are in next folder: c:\users<user name>\Pictures\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous saved as *.bmp ... but these takes much more HDD space as jpg.

Not quite sure if I really understand the problem.

Possibly some of the following info might help:
  • EDD only/immediately/automatically converts screenshots (from BMP to JPG) if you have EDD running when you take a screenshot in ED. If you want to convert BMP yourself (at a later time) there are many tools that will help you with that (google e.g. "batch convert bmp jpg")
  • During the automatic conversion EDD can rename the screenshots, e.g. to contain a date/time and the system/body name. I suggest doing this, which makes finding that pretty system very easy.

Sorry, missed this reply. What I asked was, if there is possible display, in EDDi, screenshots, which were already converted (converted into .jpg). I do screenshots conversion on my gaming PC, then are these converted images transferred via ftp server to my laptop. And on my laptop I want to see them in EDDi.

Say, is there a way to filter out stars from the 2D and 3D maps? It's really hard to navigate with this mess.

Seems I have hit a funny bug in EDDiscovery. Looking through my flight map on EDSM it appears I have made a jump halfway across the galaxy, the following are two consecutive star systems in my flight log

Rosette Sector GB-X c1-9, 2375.09, -153.56, -4771.56

Hypuae Briae TL-R c19-454, 486.56, 498.91, 35621.28.

Followed by

Hypuae Briae WZ-P e5-77, 592.22, 500.25, 35785.03

And back to

Rosette Sector GB-X c1-9, 2375.09, -153.56, -4771.56

So a round trip of some 40,000ly in three jumps.

Checking through the EDDiscovery app the data appears to match with what is shown in EDSM, but I have never been out that way.

It's obviously wrong and makes my travel map look silly, should I just delete them from the logs at EDSM or can I do something to help fix an issue.

Sounds like you hit a system with incorrect coordinates or a duplicate name which has happened before. I'm sure the good people over at EDSM or EDDN will fix it and your map should look normal again.

For shame! - Wash your mouth out with soapy water....

;)

Don't be to hard on him, maybe he got lost and didn't realise this is the exploration sub-forum :D

The answer is, I never do PvP, so no not possible. I think there's a another dodgy location in my list as well, there's another long straight line going to Colonia, if I had done a suicewinder back to the bubble it would explain it, but I can't remember ever doing that, I don't do suicidewinder travel as a firm rule.

Is there a reference list for the "body status icons" in the scan panel anywhere? This seems like a great feature (along with habitable zone listed with the label! Awesome!), but I have no idea what some of the icons mean.

Also, the surface pressure Pascals to atmospheres conversion is incorrect. 1 Atm = 101325 Pa (Not that I prefer atmospheres at all... :D )
