In-Development EDMC Colonisation Plugin

Hello @kajoj, thank you for your reply and the tip. I was confused by the broad “Load FC data” button in the settings.
Yes of course, you can also use the tool without FC.
Unfortunately I had to realize that it doesn't work properly, sorry, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
I entered the construction project and the remaining materials (I had already supplied some) in the settings.
In the view, the product was also displayed with the color green (enough for the project for this product, it was aluminum) loaded.
After delivery, however, the list under “Need” still shows the quantity supposedly required. Something still seems to be wrong. :unsure:
This is nothing related to FC. The issue is that your construction is not bind with in game construction site. Currently there are no events related to colonisation in journal that's why we have to relay on some hacks. That's why this plugin is still in development.
What you need to do is dock to the station and hit "Bind this construction with docked station"

after that all deliveries will be subtracted from needed

Can you programme the display of the goods to be folded in and out?
Or, as with the BGS-Tally plugin, a window opens when you click on the station.
If the plugin is used and the display of the required goods is shown, unfortunately other plugins are moved to the bottom and are no longer visible.
The Canonn plugin uses Mouse-Over for the display. Wouldn't that also be a possibility for your plugin?

@nepomuk Thanks for suggestion. I've added view modes.
Full view will display everything like previous:

And there is Filtered view which will display only available and required commodities in station you docked. If you are not docked shows nothing. If you are docked to construction site, full view is used.

At the same time I fixed some UI issues related to resizing.

I would love to try this but I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of edmc plugins. I can see all the files on Github but nothing that states what files go where. I may have missed something but any help would be appreciated.

@Cymoril

Assuming you have EDMC installed already, go to the colonization plugins github site and click on the green code button, then download the main.zip <--- or click the link.
Open EDMC, go to File menu -> Settings -> Plugins tab. Click the Open Plugins Folder.
Unzip the previously downloaded edmc-colonisation-plugin-main.zip and copy that folder into the EDMarketConnector plugins folder.*
Restart EDMC and you should see in the File menu - settings a new tab for ColonizationPlugin.

HTH

*So you should have something like C:\Users\MyUserHere\AppData\Local\EDMarketConnector\plugins\edmc-colonisation-plugin-main with the plugin files inside it.

Thank you very much for the rundown. I have followed your walkthrough but getting this:

I'm fairly sure it's in the right folder.... all my other plugins work. I'll have a play around with it and see if I can get it to work.... Thanks again.

And what does the Plugin settings tab say as the requester ask you to check?
Also: There should only be folders in that directory, no .github or load.py, ... only folders of the plugins you installed.

@Cymoril
Did you get it right ?

Unzip the zip file. You will receive a folder with the same name as the zip file. Copy this folder into the EDMC plugin folder.
You can find the plugin folder, for example, if you go to “Help” >> “Open log folder” in the EDMC menu, then one directory higher,
here you will see the plugin folder, open it and copy the unzipped zip folder into it.

I hope everything is clear now. ;)

Yes, everything working now... I think I need to clear that folder of old junk:) Really liking the plugin, makes checking much easier. Thanks for everyone's help

I cannot bind any colonization ship (construction site) when I am docked. I don't see this button "Bind this construction with docked station". What do I do wrong?

@Danem07 ,
Has the problem been solved in the meantime?
If not, click exactly on the text ‘STATION IS NOT BIND’ or (not visible in your picture) click just below it once.

Unfortunately, the problem remains. I cannot click on the text. I can only click on the text "Update", which is successful and followed by the Cooling waiting time.
There is not difference if I use EDSM, Inara, or Spansh for fetching/syncing data. I don't see any obvious errors in the log files either.
Thanks for your help and any suggestions!

Taking a quick look at the code I think the bind button is only shown for Planetary/Orbital Construction Site and not for a System Colonisation Ship.
You could open a issue on the github site of the plugin or wait for the author to read your post here.

It's not the only one. Every Orbital Construction Site becomes a SurfaceStation after the construction is completed and the weekly maintenance hasn't changed it into a full station. And the deployed Trailblazer ships are too.

I have a feeling that Frontier will fix that in future, but at the same time I hope they will provide colonisation journal entries and binding won't be needed.
