EDO Update9: how is your performance?

RX 6800 XT @ 2.55GHz core, 2.1GHz memory (no power limit)
2x16GiB dual-rank DDR4-3800 CL18 (1900FCLK)
Ryzen 7 5800X (custom PBO curves, air cooled)

Odyssey 4.0.0.1000
2560*1440p
Ultra preset + 60 degree on foot FoV (a very small bump from default, to max default maximum slider for ships), Ultra+ terrain quality, and no FSR or any other scaling/sharpening
Suit Operative Tutorial
FPS generally in the 90-160 range (average about 120), with momentary loading stutters upon loading settlement and spikes to 200+ when looking at the sky/walls (implying culling is working more effectively than prior). This is about a 30% jump from U8, with considerably fewer stutters on my system. Still CPU limited in some areas, and these areas have the same FPS as before, but these occurrences were much less common.

Edit: Just upped resolution to 4k, which got rid of my CPU limitations. With the GPU being the only limiting factor, I'm now seeing minimums around 60-70 and an averages of about 90. This is a solid 70% increase over U8 and double what I was getting a few updates ago.

A few more updates like this and we'll be at Horizons levels.

Marginally better, I locked my framerate at 60 now instead of 45, still getting drops here and there though (~50 in the concourse, though sometimes it hits 60 - haven't tried CZs yet, nor settlements, presume the game won't be able to maintain 60 there for sure still). But jank is still not gone and still nowhere near Horizons performance. At this stage it's probably best to not expect that any longer. My PC seems to work harder though, no need for switching on the heating anymore, but this could be because of the upped fps limit.

i7 9700/RTX2060S 8GB/16GB RAM - playing at Ultra settings (everything maxed), 2k resolution and no AMD trickery.

Update: Tried a low CZ earlier, it's still very wobbly. Anything between 30 and 55fps (the latter once the battle is won), and driving around the settlement in the Scorpion isn't much fun. Very janky. On foot it feels marginally better but nowhere near a solid 60.

GPU: RX5700XT Red Devil running at max clock of 2.05Ghz
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3000mhz
CPU: i7 8700k 4.5GHz boost

Settings: Mainly high - Ultra
Resolution: 1080p
Performance in settlements is about the same maybe 5FPS more.
Performance in GCZ not tested yet and I am scared todo so.
Performance in stations equal to settlement.

i5-9600
amd RX 580 high settings mostly, FSR+VSR (upscale+dowscale)
Plus 5 fps (from 30 to 35) at stations. Unchanged fps at 50% of the planetary bases. Minus 5 fps (from 35 to 30) at other 50% of the planetary bases.

So, it's kind a downgrade in performance for me.

Running an i7 6700k, GTX 1070, 32GB Ram can get avg 50 fps everywhere but when dropping out of hyperspace or SC notice some sutters for a 1-3 seg until everything loads.

But I'm getting consiste CTD when entering Orrery view. In Carcosa system (Colonia) at the moment.

Same as update 8 for me.

Ryzen 5 3600X
RX 5500 XT 8GB
32GB 2400

1440P (VSS)
Ultra+
DoF and Blur off
CAS @~75%
FOV set to max

Concours : 30~60fps with mostly @~45fps
Surface on foot : 30~50fps with mostly @~40fps
Surface on ship : 45~65fps with mostly @~50fps
Space : 75~120fps with mostly @80~90fps

I haven't tried in CZ.

i5 8400
rtx 2070 (latest driver)
16gb ram
1080p

In settlements, it became worse than in update 8, constant jumps in FPS from 18 to 50, strong stuttering when approaching the planet, the video card is very hot again. The rest does not interest me. I am extremely disappointed.

Won't give specifics yet because i want to do some testing around bigger settlements and perhaps try a CZ, but initial impressions are a significant improvement. I had dropped down to high from ultra/high to get a bit more performance before the patch, reverted to high/ultra after the patch and seems to be better performance than the high i was running previously.

RTX 2060.

One thing i can say is the main menu on high/ultra is now stable 60 whereas before the patch on high/ultra it was around 40-45.

Its funny to talk about loading screens being anything other than high FPS, but that's how it is...

Mine are far worse, and I don't know why. :(

GTX1060 Max-Q 6GB
16GB Ram
i5-8300H

1080p
Everything on high settings except both shadows - set to medium.
Framerate capped to 60.

I've just finished restoration mission with scavengers and burning buildings: 13-35 FPS (after Update 8 was 22-45 FPS)
When aproaching a station and inside a station: 23-45 FPS (after Update 8 was 40-60 FPS)
It's something wrong here. I never had such a bad performance around stations and I didn't change graphics setting since Alpha. :(

SteamVR at 40% res
Game at medium settings and quality FSR

Meh... It's hard to say, but performance seems roughly the same. The textures suddenly seems very low res (walls in station etc.), but this is very much first impression.

Edit. I played around with the settings and relogging. Ended up with everything ultra and no SS, AA or upscaling. Still 40% res in SteamVR, but it does look really good and it runs a lot smoother than U8. Great :alien:(y)

Agreed. Seeing rock solid 60 fps (locked) on ultra settings 1080p. Very impressive, and wasn't expecting it at all.

i7 8700k
GTX 1080ti
16 Gb ram

Because of this, maybe? Try Normal SS instead.
I've tried a lot of settings. This one gives better performance than without FSR (upscale) and better visuals than without VSR (downscale). For example VSR gives much thinner and smoother orbital lines.

Overall performance improved in busy places 5-10 fps while it still keep smoothness from Patch 8.1 (it keeps 50-60 fps most of time without any noticable drops). Hardware details and resolution in siggy, game graphic settings are all on max. So far performance wise it looks good and also ship play now have much less stutering (if any) when approach planets or stations.
