Hello, I have found and fixed the issue.

@EveryoneElse
While I was at it, I updated EDP to add most of the new Odyssey settings, as well as fix a few other bugs etc.

Seeing the below error every time I open the app. I had tried uninstall/reinstall EDprofiler, also cleared out graphics folder in ED. Running Windows 11 with ED Odyssey.

Thank you yes. I think I know what caused this, have pushed out a fix. Should be working for you and hopefully the bug won't reoccur

Working ok for me (latest) - I get none of those errors, can save and create profiles , detect settings etc, happy to test a few things if people want?

Ignore that EDProfiler.zip in the archive. I was trying to archive the files themselves instead of the folder, but the archive didn't show up. I assumed it didn't get created.

You still getting this? I am not with your files. The .zip was causing issues, I've fixed that so you can update, but didn't get your error above

No, but I am getting something weird.

I start EDProfiler, the Odyssey mode button is selected. I then click "Default VR Profile" and the mode switches to Standard / Horizons profile. I click the Odyssey mode button again, then clicked Detect Current Settings and got the following error:

Starting EDProfiler with Odyssey mode button selected and clicking "Detect Current Settings" does not give an error. Clicked "Default VR Profile" right after and mode switches to Standard / Horizons. Clicked the Odyssey button and "Detect Current Settings" and got the above error.

Sorry; I keep breaking it. x.x

Hello Dr. Kali,##THANKS FOR ALL YOUR EFFORD!!!!

I tested the version 4.0.0.1. Using the AMD FSR1.0 the SUPER SAMPLING at ULTRA-QUALITY the Profiler is showing QUALITY instead. The also setting Ultra -Quality in the Profiler does not change the ingame setting, it remains at QUALITY in game.

So i did your last update. I then tried Ultra VR button, and got a message i needed to open the ED Game Folder to save something. So i opened the folder, its saved. And since then VR wont launch at all, it just launches in 2D. My headset is on and awake .

Hi @drkaii hope you are well. Would it be possible to make the 'Max FPS' option an editable field instead of (or as well as) a pull-down? The file DisplaySettings.xml accepts any integer in the <MaxFramesPerSecond> parameter. When I play in flat-screen I use a value of 72 as this is 3 below the native refresh rate of my monitor and helps adaptive sync to keep things smooth. But when I switch from a VR profile to a flat-screen profile the value in that file is overwritten by ED Profiler (e.g. to 60), even if the 'Frame Rate Limit' box is left un-ticked.

Hello @drkaii. It's been ages since I've played this game, but I got VR recently and wanted to pick it back up. I've been configuring things outside of VR, and then decided to download your program, which I used years ago (thank you for this btw!). Unfortunately, it doesn't run at all on my current computer (Win 11, very recent build). It says

"Settings for Odyssey not found!

Please start the game, save a setting, and try again. ..."

Since I don't have Odyssey, is that why it has an issue? I've definitely started the game. Thank you for your contributions to the ED community!

Yeah getting this application to run has been a trial of frustration. First warnings about no odyssey settings since I don't HAVE Odyssey this is annoying enough. I tried to make a profile and that got corrupted and crashed the app, I tried to detect settings and then the profiler refused to run because of "Non-standard files" int he folders, if that's the case, frickin ignore them, soemthing else may be using them! I've tried removing files till it claims it can't detect any settings, I run the game and bam, it complains about non-standard files again. I feel like it doesn't like the Custom.3.8.fxcfg file.

I don't have enough patience for this, I just wanted a program to back up my current profile and allow me to switch between M&K, HOTAS, and VR profiles which I would hope would be a simple copy and switch of files. Here's the Graphics/Bindings folders, I hope you can figure out what's going on.
