Hi,

I just came back to Elite and I have to relearn my controls.
Also I have to add all the "new" controls and I realy need some kind of visual reference.
Your tool looks realy promissing :)

Sadly I got a an error "Unknown Device detected" and I should report this with the reference "ruevvw".
I am using the following CH Products
  • Fighterstick USB (CM Device 1)
  • Pro Throttle USB (CM Device 2)
  • Pro Peddals (CM Device 3)

Please let me know if i you need more information.

Thanks a lot (y)

Just got myself a new X56 ...and I was looking for a ref card I could fill in myself....then i found THIS....THIS is freaking amazing!
Howdy- I have a fairly decent setup I have been using for a long time on the X55 then X56s etc, happy to share here to you or anyone else with a X56.
-Uploaded bindings as a text file here for review\use etc, rename as .BINDS if you want to test it out.
-File goes into %localappdata%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings
-Please NOTE:- This is also customised with HCS VoicePacks keybindings as I also use voice commands.

Full credit to EDRef creator, link to his invalauble public sharing of my binds here as well - https://edrefcard.info/binds/jruudb - as seen below.

Profile name is X56_HOTAS_SRV as I also have a X56_HOTAS_SRV_Xbox where I use a Xbox controller for the SRV (usefull when lapping Dav's Hope :p)

Just an FYI - I have all three of those connected* and EDRefCard recognises them with no problems. I think your issue is probably the use of Control Manager - I don't even have that installed on my machine.

* Actually my current binds does not use the rudder pedals any more but they were OK when I did.

Thanks, I will try this. I need the Control Manager for some other games and I will see If it is enough to set the CM to "Direct Mode".
Your configuration is interesting and I think I will copy some of your bindings :)

Getting funky, badly formatted (overlayed) text regardless of what browser I use, like so:

any idea what might be the cause and how to correct?

This is something that will have to be fixed at my end I’m afraid, probably by re-drawing that template to have larger boxes. There is an algorithm that tries to fit the given amount of text in nicely, but it has its limits. One workaround would be to upload your bindings one time with, say, just ship commands selected, another time with just SRV commands, etc.

  • I am aware of the new bindings in the latest drop of Odyssey and am working to support them. I wrote a little script to extract and uniquify the error messages from the server logs and I have:
    • BuggyCycleFireGroupNext
    • BuggyCycleFireGroupPrevious
    • ExplorationSAANextGenus
    • ExplorationSAAPreviousGenus
    • GalaxyMapHome
    • HumanoidBattery
    • HumanoidClearAuthorityLevel
    • HumanoidHealthPack
    • HumanoidSelectEMPGrenade
    • HumanoidSelectFragGrenade
    • HumanoidSelectShieldGrenade
    • HumanoidWalkButton
    • LateralThrust
    • MoveFreeCamDownAxis
    • MoveFreeCamUpAxis
    • OpenCodexGoToDiscovery_Buggy
    • PitchAxis
    • PlayerHUDModeToggle_Buggy
    • RollAxis
    • ToggleVanityCamera
    • ToggleVanityCamera_Buggy
    • VerticalThrust
    • YawAxis

These wil be fixed in the next update.

I know I can break things up by category to avoid this, I just like to have a sheet that shows all my binds in one shot I can send to friends for quick reference. I guess because Space Legs has added a bunch of new binds, the keyboard sheet is running out of room and cutting off some of the binds from the master list. Don't know if this is something worth fixing, but I wanted to report it. Thank you so much for all your hard work on this tool. I love love love it! It really helps me map things out properly without a bunch of menu flipping in-game. Great job!

Example pic of issue attached.

I too like having everything on one sheet, but the sheer quantity of controls nowadays is making it increasingly difficult to fit everything in. On some of the templates I can make the boxes bigger, and that will help a lot. But I think for my own use I will be leaving the On Foot stuff off of my main ref card and creating a separate one for it (it's all keyboard and mouse anyway).

For the curious, the code I inherited has, for each supported device, vector art in Affinity Designer format, and a bitmap JPEG at printer resolution. The server uses ImageMagick to add the text to that and output another JPEG.

I have a branch where I have converted all the source vector art to SVG format, and I was about to regenerate all the JPEGs as PNG. But I have just learned that ImageMagick can read and write SVG, so I 'm going to experiment with working entriely in that format rather than ouputting a bitmap. I don't know why the original source code outputs bitmaps; maybe browser support for SVG wasn't universal back then, or maybe ImageMagick didn't have support. Anyhow, if that works out well then it will help hugely with file sizes and bandwidth, and allow for genuinely resizable graphics. Wish me luck!

This is Great, I Love it very helpful to everyone, I have a TM Hotas One for Xbox, and need to bind my keys, I’m New so I’m having trouble, Can you post the Key binding Guide for the TM Hortas One?

Great tool.
Found an issues with the hatswitches being opposite on the X56, created a ticket for it on the issue tracker.

I love this, printed out two copies, one for the desktop and one for the laptop. But. my question, I added my Hotas t-flight x back to my PC. but no bind file is showing in the local AppData folder. Thanks for the assistance and the great program.

Predefined bindings are buried in the game files (specifically, in "%LocalAppData%\Frontier_Developments\Products\<name-of-the-game>\ControlSchemes"; note the underscore in Frontier_Developments).

The "%LocalAppData%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings" folder is for custom bindings, i.e. those you can modify yourself. If you load a predefined bindings set then modify some binding, the Custom.binds file ought to appear there.

Thank you...(I should know this already)
