I'd always suggest using OpenTrack with EdTracker. It converts the EdTracker basically into TrackIR so it is automatically/natively supported. eg: In ED, you simply run the game, and it thinks you have a TrackIR and uses it. So NO SETUP! It even gives you head lean should you want it.I have just bought and built the DIY kit for EDTracker but am struggling to set it up in Elite game.
Can anyone help with the settings I should use both in the EdTracker and in Elite controls.
Thanks weepop
Can't help with that I'm afraid. I believe I've had problem where if I plug the EDTracker into a different USB port it's not happy. But mine is always plugged in, into the same USB port, and I have no problems with it not being detected/working.On a different subject can anyone tell me how to stop EDTrack from losing the Arduino Leonardo COM port if I restart my computer with the EDTrack USB plugged in.
It retains it only if I wait till PC up and running before I plug in EDTrack
Neilf Crank Larson put me right in the second post .
I am not using OpenTrack but I do have it and use it in BMS Falcon where I convert roll into lean so I know what you mean.
I will give it a try in ED

Can't comment on that I'm afraid. Works like a treat/rock solid hereSame problem, no solution, also means I have to re run "auto gyro bias" every time as, after being plugged back in, it loses that bias for whatever reason.

Maybe try a different USB socket? Give the folks at the site an email?

I concur... EDTracker with OpenTracker makes life easier, and playing games just wonderful. I generally would prefer to play with EDTracker than my Rift (VR) as it gave a damn good experience without the hurdles VR obviously have (with a game like ED).I can heartily recommend OpenTrack.
Here is my set-up and ini file... NOTE THE YAW AND PITCH SCALING

Hope this helps.
Sounds like good advice. It was ages ago I set mine up, but I sort of recall having to do an uninstall/reinstall of the drivers or something. But in the years since it's been rock solid. It sounds like a USB driver assignment issue with windows - these are not as uncommon as you might think.
Unplug the ETracker. Fully uninstall the Arduino drivers, reboot. Re-install the drivers and plug the EdTracker into the USB port, and dedicate that port to the EdTracker.
I may help, it may not. Alternately use another port. Or..... wait until PC up and running before you plug in EDTrack.....
(All bets are off with USB hubs...)

Agreed. VR is nice, but not as visually clear as a good monitor with EDTrackers, and you of course still have clear sight and access to all your peripherals. Add VoiceAttack and perfect!Same here - it was (I vaguely recall) a bit of a chore to get set up - but zero problems since, and wouldn't play ED without it. Head-tracking and I can still see my keyboard and beer - win-win!!
Thanks for your Open track profile I will give it a try. Can you tell me how to "dedicate" a port to the EDTracker. It sounds like a USB driver assignment issue with windows - these are not as uncommon as you might think.
